Advanced structural calculus combined with high tech,composite material has resulted in an aircraft with topperformances in its class but with very compact dimensionsand light weight. Both cockpits are however roomy enough tofit even 95% percentile pilots.

The structure was designed andcomputed by the Aero structure

Department of Turin PolytechnicUniversity. Extensive use wasmade of Finite Element Modelling(FEM) and NASTRAN techniques.

Initial aerodynamic characteristics were identified throughwind tunnel testing of a 1:10 scale model.

Professional, state of the artcomputation and modelling tools

were intensively used to optimizethe industrialisation process andminimize production costs.

pilot and passengers seats werebuilt to work as fuselage framesthus keeping basic weight lowwhile maintaining however anoptimal ergonomic design for pilot

downloadable on a PC through a USB interface.This feature allows constant monitoring of aircraftusage and consequently optimization of logisticalsupport and maintenance procedures.The same unit also allows a complete replay of the

whole flight, as seen by the student pilot, foroptimum training effectiveness.

operational costs. EngineMTBO is 1200 hours withsimple intermediate checks.Rotax engine is a proven unitin widespread use. Spare parts

are easy to find andcompetitively priced.Several other engine choices,are however available andwould easily fit in the spaciousengine compartment.
