BROOKLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL DESIGN UPDATE – MASCOT SELECTION •  Presented Mascot options to 4th, 5th, 6th grade students at:

Brookland Educational Campus, Burroughs, Langdon, and Noyes Schools.

•  Students voted to rank the options in order of preference.

•  97 Entries from 52 artists. 21 selected as semi-finalists •  Semi finalists announced for each area

•  Entry Plaza (Community) - 8 semi finalists •  Atrium – likely hanging (Diversity) – 4 semi-finalists •  Outdoor Classroom (Sustainability) – 6 semi finalists •  Michigan Ave (Brookland) – 4 semi finalists •  Main Lobby (Performing Arts) – 6 semi finalists

•  Semi-finalists will tour the school in early May, submit proposal in late May, and present to the community in June before selections are made in July
