What mirrors reflect?They reflect the truth, the sincerity, the soul of the heart and conscience.I saw in a Chinese museum an interesting mirror with a particular words:“ Like the sun, the moon, the water, the gold,be clear and bright, and show me everything I have in my heart”.The mirror is the place where reality and illusion blend together.A broken mirror reduces the objects in small pieces, giving new shapes and a new order to the world around.It reflects every kind of shadow in a different proportion, with a particular movement of few millimeters.I started my research from this concept, to see if I were able to using further volumes on the human body, conserving the ele- gance and wearability.The whole collection is developed using cotton jersey, because it’s a versatile material that fits the body caressing every curve.TRANSCRIPT
