Library Information for Students

All students of SIM & UniSIM are provided with a library account . The default login to this account is your NRIC/FIN and your Date of Birth (DOB).
You should check ‘My Library Account’ regularly to: ◆ Track due dates of items loaned ◆ Renew books ◆ Check reservations ◆ Check library overdue fines ◆ Book group study room ◆ Cancel reservation of books and library group
study room booking
Your student card is also your library card, and is needed to access library services including borrowing of books at Self-Check machines, e-devices, and check-in to group study rooms. Alternatively, you can use your NRIC/FIN card for transactions at Library Counter.

You can use the online library catalogue to search for materials that are available in the library. Reservations of items that are out on loan can also be done here using your NRIC/FIN and your Date of Birth (DOB).

Library Resources
The library collection comprises both print and non-print materials, and subscriptions to a selection of online databases, e-journals and e-books which can be accessed on-campus/off-campus via Student Portal or SIMConnect. Articles selected from e-Resources may be down-loaded, printed or even emailed to your own account.
The e-Resource Map (above) gives you a visual guide of the databases by subject. Follow the colour code to identify most relevant databases for your assignments.
