That was summer - but not everywhere!Welcome to our dealers edtion of the Buckler Boots autumn/winter 2017/18 brochure. In some parts of the UK there was difficulty in knowing when summer 2017 actually started or indeed if it ever started! In the welcome message with our spring/summer brochure there was a sub-heading “Buckbootz BBZ6000 the all year round safety welly” - this turned out to be an omen which may have dampened the summer spirits of some but certainly brought extra business to Buckler Boots dealers in various parts of the country. With the onset of autumn/winter we move into the peak seasons for Buckbootz and the leather waterproof safety styles, particularly in the Buckshot range. The new BBZ6000 orange boot is already proving to be a very popular addition to the colour choice in our renowned Buckbootz neoprene/rubber safety boot range.

A hit at a myth!Dealers will be well aware of the turmoil in pricing which has been triggered by the Brexit induced slump in the value of sterling. A number of our competitors have applied three post Brexit price increases which takes some of them to a total percentage increase which is more than double that of ours. This helps to explode a myth which existed even before the impact of Brexit, that our pricing profile is high. I would go as far as to say that our pricing profile is below that of all other competitors’ products which might be seen to be pitched at our specifications and quality. Check and you will see what I mean. In addition we now have Nubuckz established in the range with a current RSP of £49.90 zr. This product represents value which is setting the pace in the middle price band. I will stick my neck out: very few competitors even get close to matching our quality/value ratio. Pound for pound we offer some of the best value safety footwear in Europe. Check the testimonials on page 7 and go to www.bucklerboots.com/testimonials and you will see why Buckler Boots wearers come back to our dealers for more, time after time.

Strength to StrengthIn recent times one significant competitor announced results for 2016 which showed a collapse in profits and a big hike in borrowings. Another has been sold on to an American brands behemoth. All signs of pressure and change in the marketplace. In the mist of all the turbulence Buckler Boots remains a truly independent UK owned European brand which goes from strength to strength by doing the things the market needs and likes.

OUR HEART AND SOLESAt the very heart of a good work boot is a good outsole and there has never been a Buckler Boots style which hasn’t featured rubber outsoles.

For us there is no compromising, we can’t see past rubber as the prime work boot sole material and we invest heavily in our own rubber outsole development programmes.

Rubber is tough, durable, stays flexible in a wide temperature range and is abrasion, slip, heat (300ºC – 60 secs) and oil resistant. It also provides superior grip in nearly every conceivable working situation and is resistant to a number of chemicals.

All the rubber outsoles you can see here have been developed by or in conjunction with Buckler Boots. If you think you’ve seen other soles which look a bit like them then it’s probably because some of our competitors have seen and liked them too.

K3The new generation sole for Goodyear welted leather styles and Buckbootz neoprene/rubber footwear. Features weight saving wave effect sipes and inherits K2’s rugged long life characteristics whilst also achieving SRC maximum anti slip test certification. Looks good too.

Buckshot 2The most exciting Buckler Boots outsole development for some time. Buckshot 2 is featured on our injection moulded Buckshot 2 boot range. It has some of the best anti-abrasion test results achievable. A great looking sole with wave effect sipes, deep cleats and all the outsole benefits which come with rubber plus SRC maximum anti-slip test certification.

NubuckzFor our ground breaking new injection moulded Nubuckz safety boot styles we introduce a deep cleated rubber outsole specially designed to interact with the polyurethane top sole in which the Nubuckz ribbed anti scuff toe is an incorporated and defining feature. Nubuckz outsoles are heat resistant to 300ºC and achieve maximum rating SRC anti slip certification. They are long lasting with rugged good looks.

Largo BayEven when it comes to bringing the street look to the workplace we insist on real rubber outsoles but - our sneaker soles are different. Mindful of the need for some outsole ‘dig’ in some working conditions, (even with sneaker style safety footwear) we have created a sneaker sole with pronounced cleats, wave effect sipes and a slightly raised heel area without sacrificing that great looking sneaker sole side profile. Comes with SRC maximum anti slip test certification too. Clever, good looking and non-marking.
