ALSDE/A+ College Ready Schools Soar Ahead of State and National Results in Advanced Placement Qualifying Scores in Math, Science and English (MSE)

is making an Impact!

Alabama’s percent increase in qualifying scores on AP exams from 2008 – 2013 ranks Alabama first among all 50 states in Qualifying Scores and second in Minority Student Qualifying Scores on AP MSE exams

After just one year in the A+ College Ready program, 76 Alabama high schools showed an average

101% increase in AP qualifying scores – 14 times the national average!

Over five years, ALSDE/A+ College Ready students have earned 14,006 qualifying scores in MSE. A student can earn at least 3 hours of college credit per qualifying score The average cost of a 3-credit-hour course at UA & AU is $1806 Alabama families have saved over $25,000,000 in college costs!
