SHOPPING
Over the past few years, the area surrounding the campus has attracted billions of dollars of investments in commercial, education, residential and retail projects that have added to the neighborhood’s vibrancy and quality of life.
Recent examples include: the forthcoming 900,000 square foot, mixed-use Manhattanville Factory District; the recent investment from national retail chains; the opening of unique restaurants, lounges and shops; and the rehabilitation and renovation of the area’s parks and shoreline.

The Manhattanville campus is situated between City College’s campus just to the north, Columbia’s Morningside campus just to the south and the Manhattanville Factory District to the east.
This carefully considered campus will be a new kind of urban academic environment, one that will be woven into the fabric of the surrounding community.
The campus plan includes up to 6.8 million square feet of space for teaching, research, university housing, underground parking, and support services. It features new facilities for civic, cultural, recreational, and commercial activity. And its improved, pedestrian-friendly streets and new publicly accessible open spaces will reconnect West Harlem to the new Hudson River waterfront park.
Phase 1 of the campus development will include: the 450,000 square foot, Jerome L. Greene Science Center; the 50,000 square foot Lenfest Center for the Arts; the 60,000 square foot, 430 seat University Forum; and the 450,000 square foot, Columbia Business School.
Currently on the campus is the 210,000 sf Studebaker building, which houses university administrative offices.

Mezzanine
Located at the base of Jerome L. Greene Science Center, three retail spaces are available for lease. The Jerome L. Greene Science Center is home to the Zuckerman Mind, Brain Behavior Institute, which will be a destination for clinicians, students, researchers and educators from all over the world.
The building sits at the intersection of Broadway and 129th Street - the eastern-most entrance to the campus and the one closest to mass transit. It will be the most visible building of the new development. Adjacent to the building will be landscaped open spaces, the Lenfest Center for the Arts and the University Forum.
