Future

Service definition

Broadband Internet combines the bandwidth potential of two phone-grade lines to deliver internet access. Within the ATI platform, it uses ADSL2+ as the underlying transport technology and g.998.1 as the bonding technology.

The CPE is the Comtrend NexusLink 5631 ADSL2+ Bonded Modem.

The device provides the following interfaces:

• 4 port RJ45 ethernet switch

• WiFi antenna (disabled – 802.11b,a,g)

• USB port (disabled – memory stick / print server)

CPE interface details

• 4 port ethernet switch - enabled Provides wired connections for multiple PCs or network devices.

• Wireless antenna - disabled Work is underway by Comtrend to provide a "dual interface" which will allow Integra to maintain control of the device yet allow the customer to administer wireless settings such as security passcodes. Once the enhancement is implemented, Integra will include wireless access as part of the service.

• USB printer port - disabled Printer sharing via this port is disabled, however, a customer may still share a printer via the wired ethernet connection.

• USB external drive port - disabled External drive sharing via USB is disabled, however, a customer may still share drives via the wired ethernet connection.

• Reset switch - enabled The default network type for the CPE is dynamic IP address assignment. If the customer presses the reset switch, the device will reset to an Integra default setting (not a manufacturer default) and the service should restore without intervention. If the customer requested a static IP address assignment at time of installation, the customer will need Integra's assistance restoring the addresses. This can be done remotely by Integra support.
