Our Lady of Guadalupe Scholarship Committee 2021

is trying to identify all high school seniors who will be graduating in May 2021 for an opportunity to receive a scholarship from the Parish. Students

must be a graduating senior who is a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and plan to attend a

college or university in the Fall of 2021. Students must have made their confirmation during their junior year or plan to make it with the current

confirmation class. Additionally, students must be actively involved in the parish through religious

education classes or the parish youth group. Students meeting these requirements should

contact Eleanora Bazile-Brooks at 504-220-0177

or [email protected].

Wednesday Bible Sharing has begun. We meet after the 7AM Mass in the St. Jude

Hall. All are invited. Coffee and donuts are available .

Because of the numbers that are attending the 9:30am and 11:30am Masses, we have now opened up the St. Jude Hall where Mass is being televised and that you can receive Holy Communion there. There is still social distancing and wearing of masks required.

Winter Novena to St. Jude. It is hard to believe that our Winter Novena will begin on Jan. 23rd thru January 31st. Fr. Sensenig, is an Oblate Priest will be our guest preacher. Please join us and spread the word to your family and friends.

Dear Parishioners and Friends of Our Lady of Guadalupe, As we celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany, I want to above all, thank each of you for your prayers. I know that all your prayers have helped me to return to healing and recovery. I hope to be back with all of you very soon. Growing up, I remember that this Feast was called Little Christmas. We recall on this day, the three Wise Men following the star that led to Jesus. They presented Him with gifts that represent the future for Jesus. Many of you, this past week, may have looked into the sky and seen the planets, Saturn and Jupiter. Seeing their lights remind us of the Light that led the Wise Men to Jesus. Jesus is the Light…..His Light brings us Hope. May 2021 bring us the Hope that ends this pandemic. May all of us be kept safe and know that Jesus is our Hope for this New Year. God bless all of us and keep us as we follow the Light of the World. May each of us receive the Gift of Hope.

With all my prayer, Fr. Tony
