POTENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS 2018-2019
The following is a list of potential scholarships that have traditionally been offered to local students. The scholarships are
listed alphabetically including availability and customary deadlines.
Dates or requirements may change. Always refer to the scholarship’s website and to the current monthly College and
Career Center at your high school.
Some things to remember!
1. Scholarships are all based on some degree of eligibility-usually to include one or more of the following:
a. Grade Point Average
b. Essay
c. Community Service and /or Volunteering
d. Letter(s) of Recommendation
e. Test Scores (ACT/SAT)
f. Financial Need
g. Major
2. Please pay close attention to all application deadline requirements.
3. You are responsible for mailing your scholarship application(s). MAIL EARLY!!! (See your College & Career
Specialist or Counselor at least one week before deadline for mailing assistance)
4. If the application requires a school transcript, please complete the appropriate request form available in your
school counseling office and submit it least 3 weeks prior to the mailing deadline date.
5. Be sure to make requests for counselors and/or teacher recommendations at least 2 weeks prior to mailing
deadline.
