What's it all about ?

• "The BPE exists to encourage photographers to enter exhibitions and to recognize successful entrants via the issue of the Crown Awards photographic distinctions. Exhibition members share ideas, promote each other's exhibitions and generally work together to promote competitive photography."

Registration Tip

• As you will need to register for each exhibition I would strongly recommend you use the same password and email address for each exhibition.

• Image Size• Normal 1400 x 1050 the same as us, however there still some that use 1024 x 768

• File naming• No spaces between the CODE, HYPHEN and TITLE, for example: • NH-Arctic Tern

• Cost• They all vary slightly some are cheaper than others. Atypical cost may be £1.50 per image• I have always paid via PayPal

Online Entry• Step 1: Register

• Step 2: “Login to enter Images” using your email address and initially the automatically generated password emailed to you. • • Step 3: “My Account” Check/Add your name, distinctions and address details or amend as necessary. You may also change your

password if desired. Following any changes an email will be sent to you as confirmation and also as a future record of your password. • • Step 4: “Add Images” Upload your images 1 or more at a time, you can repeat this step. Click to browse to where, the correctly sized, jpg

images are located on your computer. • • Step 5: “Check Images” Enter titles and allocate to categories (using Drop-Down list). The Title which you add will be used for your

image in the exhibition. Please do not try to change/edit the image FILE name which you uploaded, this is separate to the image TITLE. • • Steps 4 & 5 can be repeated if you have not loaded all of your entry in this session. The images loaded so far will be retained. Unwanted

images can be deleted at stage 5 using a drop-down Keep/Delete located beneath each image. • • Step 6: “Pay for Entry” Submit and pay for your entry online using Paypal or a credit card. Alternatively, if you wish, select pay by cheque

and an entry reference number will be given to send with your cheque. • • After payment no further amendments to your entry are possible. • • An email will be sent to you listing details of your entry. • • After the selection a report card will be emailed giving your image scores 6 to 15 and listing any acceptances/awards.

Other Info

• You can use the same images in different exibitions

• Once images are submitted and paid for you will get an email confirmation.

• The results will be sent via email showing your acceptances

• 3 judges score images between 1-5 they look at the images for about 5 seconds

• Acceptance normally 11 or 12
