Set in the heart of the city, Ignite spices up the way people of Chiang Mai experience ne dining. Inspired by Yi Peng,
an annual oating lantern festival in Thailand, the restaurant combines the element of re with a modern take oncultural traditions. A re inspired sculpture centrally focused becomes the point from which the entire space generates
energy in the same way a re spreads from the initial spark.
The bar is designed as a ame to create a space that fully engulfs the city night life in a bold array of color and light. Itopens out to the patio offering a casual setting that contrasts with the high end dining inside.
Contrasting the are of the bar, the dining area provides a more traditional setting. Various heights of winding metalpartitions create intimate settings while still allowing visual connection between spaces. The sleek design of the
re-like sculpted metal throughout the restaurant takes a step forward from the natural materials that typically adornthe city.
The Green Walls incorporated throughout the space gives a breath of fresh life that contrasts with the bold statements
of the metal and re elements. In a city that has embraced its beautiful greenery for ages, the modern technology ofthe Green Wall allows guests to set their eyes on the future without neglecting their heritage. From the enticing facade
that draws people in to the experience that leaves a lasting impression, Ignite is the hot spot of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Chiang Mai is the largest city in northern Thailand. Although it is not as developed as its big brother,Bangkok, Chiang Mai is moving forward in many ways. The city is unique the way it combines the village
life with the city life. While many of the people hold true to their cultural heritage, others embrace amore forward thinking. The city welcomes visitors to join in with many annual festivals such as Y Peng.
High end hotels contrast with the grass huts and the business suits with the gold neck rings. Chiang Maiis also a naturally beautiful place with its rich greenery and nearby river fronts.
The nightlife is prominent Chiang Mai and many tourists are attracted to this exciting city.

With the bold, bright combination of exciting colors and neon lights, Ignite catches
the attention of passersby and draws them into the restaurant. These colors and lights
are what make the restaurants bar and lounge a city hot spot. Upon entering Ignite,
guests are greeted by a red glowing re sculpture that sits in the center of the
entrance. They are then invited to wait for a table in the ne dining area or enjoy a
drink at the bar or a casual meal at one of the bar tables.
The bar extends out to the patio providing guests the option of enjoying the fresh
night air on the patio. A garage door operates as the window for the bartender to
serve the guests outside.
With the red LED panels under the counter, colorful handing pendants and purple
illuminated displays, the bar and lounge is the place for guests to unwind and
recharge.

the space. The hanging bulbs give off a soft glow of light that sets
the mood for intimate parties. The Green Wall is incorporated toembrace the natural beauty of the city of Chiang Mai. The private

Ignite offers a wide variety of seating options in the general dining area
from enclosed booths to clusters of tables. Through the center of the space,
a winding metal partition wall divides the space into intimate sections. On
one side of the wall, it curves around to anchor a line of tables and ends by
circling into a large round booth. On the other side, the wall follows the
curve of the tables around the re sculpture. The general dining also
provides a small room that encloses guests to provide visual as well as
acoustical privacy. The line of booths separate the general dining area from
the entrance and the bar to provide a sense of contrast between the two
areas.

BOOTH PERSPECTIVE
The booths in the general dining are designed
to replicate the whips and curves of a ame.
Because they are open on both sides, they
guests are able to be included in both the bar
and the general dining areas. However, the
closed top gives a sense of intimacy and
personal space.
