bringing in the cloud
DESCRIPTION
How Sharepoint is a both a version of the Internet within the corporate walls AND how it is not. Sharepoint projects can fail because of the miscconception that users have of it before it is implemented. I will list changes in users expectations that need to be managed and how Sharepoinnt implementations can fly if the ground is set beforehand.TRANSCRIPT
Mike Riversdale: “Bringing In The Could”
Your “social media guru” for today
Westworld Barbie
Why are we here? Not this
Or this
Or these
Why are we here? For these
OK, for these
Actually, for her
How are we gonna get there? Me
Then you
And finally all of us
Death-star honeymoon
“Cloud” - huh?
List the geek terms Mike
Social this, social that … ?!?
Where did it all come from? Young 'uns
The walls of the corporate
Barbie in the Big House
But you aren't the Internet
Aha, our internal apps are a monopoly
Can we really use the “long tail”
Don't have time to waste on Facebook
Where is the “work is boring” law?
Old Barbie
Ah, the good “old” days
This IS a change
We are changing structures
We're going “open” everyone!
Barbies in fur coats
Put the humanity back into your apps
Everything must be actionable
Release early, learn, grow quickly
Fail quickly and often
Remember the focus – NOT this
Your “Polish Lady” is your focus
Right, over to you ...
A reminder ...
1: This is not the Internet
2: Change is difficult
3: Focus on people
[A little light relief ...]
