/
Dr. James Strauss, Lincoln Christian Seminary
In 1987, Dr. Wayne Shaw, Dean of Lincoln ChristianSeminary, Lincoln, Illinois initiated a contact withHarvest which has been stimulating and challengingever since. He expressed Lincoln's desire to haveHarvest personnel teach at the seminary and college ^while they are on furlough in the USA. Wes Paddock iwill be the first of Harvest's people to undertake thisministry and he will be starting in August ofthis year. IDr. Shaw also expressed adesire for Harvest to arrange ifor teaching possibilities for Lincoln faculty at DaystarUniversity College. DISCIPLING THEM ONE AT A TIME
A World Vision poster has caught the people'seye. It pictures a starving child and a question in boldletters: "How do you feed a billion hungry people?" Theanswer below: "One at a time."
That might also express Harvest's attitude towarddiscipling. How do you disciple 50,000 people by theyear 2000? The answer? One at a time.
This ministry continues in Kenya under theleadership of Philip Makau. Confined no longer toKenya, however, it has been implemented in Zimbabweand is being considered in Ivory Coast and even inJapan. Disciplers in Zimbabwe wrote that it is bringingrevival to their congregation. In Japan, the materials arebeing translated for the first time. In Kenya, certificateshave been added - but they are given out only when thediscipled has discipled another person successfully.
Continue to keep this ministry in your prayers.
