These paintings have a very long tradition and history in Indian arts. The rock paintings were made during pre historic times. Mostly the Indian art works reflects the political, social, religions sentiments and economic of ancient period. The carved pillars of Ellora and Maharashtra state are the best examples and this painting is drawn in the 7th century. Indian paintings provide an aesthetic range from the early civilization till present day. Mughal paintings are one of the meticulous styles of Indian paintings.
