A Membership Message from Christina Raimo

nce again our fabulous Social, Membership, and Advisory Committees have worked hard assisting Luis and myself in planning excellent social Club events and membership offerings.

We have many great upcoming social activities such as our Fall Fashion Show, Holiday Decorating Class, Georgia/Florida Tailgate Party, and many more. And of course, you can depend on Chef Mattie’s fine cuisine and timely service whenever you are here at the Club!

In the membership department, we also have many special offerings for you as Current Members to consider, as well as for your friends and family whom may be Prospective Brickyard Members. For example, we have created a new membership category, Social Golf. We have also put together a special option for the Avid Golfers, called Unlimited Golf. We have created a new Membership Opportunity entitled the Reverse Initiation Fee program for New Members as well as current Preview members who might considering transferring. Lastly, we will soon be releasing some great updates to our Corporate Membership Program.

I have outlined each of these events and membership programs in this newsletter to give you more details. Please do contact me with any questions or with any way that I might assist you. Also, if I have not yet gotten to speak with you, I will be doing so in the near future; I am calling each family to touch base and introduce myself to those whom I have not yet met.

Also, I hope that you will mark the evening of November 8th on your calendars as a time when we would like to have you and your Prospective Members to the Club for our Holiday Membership Open House. We would like to show your guests all that the Brickyard has to offer them as we approach the Holiday Season and New Year.

As always, I look forward to hearing from you! My Direct Line: (478) 330-6469 or email: [email protected].

Collegiate; I am very proud to be a part of this tournament each year.

I have already met and know some of you, and others I do not know but certainly want to. Please let me get to know each of you no matter what it

is– a birthday, anniversary, dinner for two, or just stop by to say hello.

I want to hear from you and know what I can do for your dining experience. I would be more than grateful to hear your feedback as well. I want to

ensure that your experience is the best one you have at the brickyard, so please come out to visit me.

Hope to see you soon,

W

ith October upon us, that means we have a very

hectic month. We are preparing the course for the 5th

annual Brickyard collegiate. We also have a few golf

outings this month also, so things on the course will be

busy.

We will be preparing the course for the winter during this

month as well. This means we will slowly start raising the

heights of cut on the greens, tees, and fairways. We are

going to apply fungicides to the greens to help prevent

spring dead spot. Over-seeding of the par 3 tees and

driving range tee will also take place this month.

Please remember to repair all ball marks and try and keep

the carts on the paths as much as possible.

See you on the course,

Golf Tip of the Month ast month’s pop quiz question asked, “A player,

having searched for a minute for his original ball, aban-

doned it and walked forward to continue play with his

provisional ball. Before he played the provisional ball,

some spectators found the original ball before the five

minute search period expired. What is the ruling?” Under

rule 27 ball lost or out of bounds; Provisional ball. The

player must identify the ball that was found by the spec-

tators. The ball becomes ball in play if it is found within

the five minute search period.

This month’s pop quiz question asked, “A player’s ball in

play is lying on a slope. When he addresses the ball, it

moves and comes to rest out of

bounds. He then plays the ball

from out of bounds. What is the

ruling?”

Best wishes,

Michael Kitchens Assistant Golf Professional
