The team form a specialist division within

Brewers, there to support you and offer

advice in the field of high performance

coatings, covering problem areas such

as floors, metal, cladding, hygiene

and specialist surfaces. They provide a

complete free service, from site visit and

specification to testing and maintenance

support.

Here it is all about a clinically clean finish whilst creating a warm, relaxed environment.

Hygiene is key, with all areas being thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis to fight bacteria; pale, neutral colours are used in clinic rooms, whereas long term patient environments require more homely, uplifting colours.

Hospitals and GP surgeries are what anti-bacterial coatings were designed for,

helping prevent the spread of disease by killing bacteria. These coatings need to be tough and durable too, withstanding intensive cleaning treatments as well as everything that bacteria can throw at them.

Care homes offer protection to the elderly and comfort to them and their loved ones with a warm, caring environment. They should feel like home, from the bedrooms to the communal dining and lounge areas, with warm shades being used. Corridors, stairways and landings should be coated with tough durable products to withstand knocks. Flame retardant products should also be considered as the rest home has a duty of care to all its guests.

We are constantly looking to minimise our environmental impact. A number of steps we have already taken include; introducing electric vehicles to our fleet, extensive recycling, rainwater harvesting and many more.

We recognise our responsibility to communities in which we operate as well as in the wider world. Many of our branches have links to local community organisations. As part of our centenary celebrations, we donated £1 million to Disability Challengers to enable them to create a groundbreaking centre for disabled children in Farnham in Surrey. This is only the start – we want to do more.
