Through much prayer and discussion, the Easter services will look a little different than they have for the past few years. BCOB will be of- fering three Easter services and each service will be host- ed at the church. There will be services at 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. (The time for the sunrise service is still being deter- mined.) We have had great results at our High School Easter services over the years and this should not be a hindrance to how many guests we choose to invite. We feel that we can better minister to and create an even better experience for those who attend by hosting three services at our own place. Please begin praying consist- ently for our services and asking God who he would have you invite. We would also like to remind you that Easter takes a lot of extra volunteers, from serving in the children’s ministry to welcoming guests and anything in between. If you are willing to give a few extra hours please see Pastor Dan or a Ministry Team leader and let them know. Easter Services For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:26 As we begin to prepare for the celebration of Easter, we would like to take a moment to remind you of our annual Love Feast. This event is held the Thursday evening before Easter (April 2 nd ) at 7 p.m. and is hosted by our Deacons and Pastors. The purpose of this night is to give us an op- portunity to settle our hearts and reflect on the intimate moments that Jesus shared with His disciples the evening before he was crucified on the cross. Jesus spent time in the upper room with His disciples, sharing a meal, teaching and preparing them on how to continue in their relationship with Him and others. The importance of being a part of this evening cannot be over stated. This is a time to re-focus, re-commit, and re-fresh your relationship with God. We begin the evening with a time of quiet, personal reflection in the sanctuary. Shortly after that, we proceed to the fellowship hall where we share a small meal and casual conversation. During this time, we also participate in a foot washing ceremony as a commitment to service and unity, just as Je- sus did with His disciples. We conclude the night with communion as we remember the sac- rifice that Jesus paid on the cross. If you have more questions, feel free to ask anyone of our deacons or pastors for more infor- mation, or find someone who attended last year and ask about their experience. Love Feast

Brethren Light Issue 220 February 2015

It may be hard to believe with all of the snow and bitterly

cold weather, but Easter is just around the corner-

Sunday April 5th to be exact. Through much prayer and

discussion, the Easter services will look a little different

than they have for the past few years. BCOB will be of-

fering three Easter services and each service will be host-

ed at the church. There will be services at 9:15 and 10:45

a.m. (The time for the sunrise service is still being deter-

mined.) We have had great results at our High School

Easter services over the years and this should not be a hindrance to how many guests we

choose to invite. We feel that we can better minister to and create an even better experience

for those who attend by hosting three services at our own place. Please begin praying consist-

ently for our services and asking God who he would have you invite. We would also like to

remind you that Easter takes a lot of extra volunteers, from serving in the children’s ministry

to welcoming guests and anything in between. If you are willing to give a few extra hours

please see Pastor Dan or a Ministry Team leader and let them know.

Easter Services

For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the

Lord’s death until he comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:26

As we begin to prepare for the celebration of Easter, we

would like to take a moment to remind you of our annual

Love Feast. This event is held the Thursday evening before

Easter (April 2nd) at 7 p.m. and is hosted by our Deacons

and Pastors. The purpose of this night is to give us an op-

portunity to settle our hearts and reflect on the intimate

moments that Jesus shared with His disciples the evening

before he was crucified on the cross. Jesus spent time in the upper room with His disciples,

sharing a meal, teaching and preparing them on how to continue in their relationship with

Him and others. The importance of being a part of this evening cannot be over stated. This is

a time to re-focus, re-commit, and re-fresh your relationship with God. We begin the evening

with a time of quiet, personal reflection in the sanctuary. Shortly after that, we proceed to the

fellowship hall where we share a small meal and casual conversation. During this time, we

also participate in a foot washing ceremony as a commitment to service and unity, just as Je-

sus did with His disciples. We conclude the night with communion as we remember the sac-

rifice that Jesus paid on the cross.

If you have more questions, feel free to ask anyone of our deacons or pastors for more infor-

mation, or find someone who attended last year and ask about their experience.

The Impact student Ministry will be traveling to Blue Knob Pennsylvania from July 5th -11th

for their annual summer mission trip. All students from 6th-12th grade are highly encouraged

to go. As we do not know the full details of our project

until we arrive, teens can expect to do anything from

serving in a soup kitchen, to roofing, or building a

wheel chair ramp. If you are on the fence about going

or staying home, find a teen that went on last year’s

trip and let them share their experience with you.

The cost is $289 per teen. Last year, through fundrais-

ing and sponsorships we were able to provide funding for all teen and adult fees. Currently

we are collecting scrap metal to help in the fund raising process. If you have old appliances,

car batteries, or aluminum cans that we can collect, let Pastor Dan know to set up a pick up

or drop off time. We are also accepting full or partial sponsorships. If you would like to spon-

sor a teen please see Pastor Dan.

IMPACT Field Trip

On January 18th, 15 students and chaperones from our Impact Student Ministry enjoyed

snow tubing at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg Indiana. A lot of layers were worn

and a lot of fun was had by all! Thank you to those who participated in the event.
