BRENTWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL SCHOOL NEWSLETTER # 10 2 Dawson Road, Brentwood. 6153 Phone: 9364 2709 Email: [email protected] 30th June 2020 SCHOOL NEWS Principal’s Message The end of term of term two has arrived. I have been excited to watch the students’ confidence thrive over the course of this term. What started as a strange and unsure term has ended with students demonstrating just how adaptable and motivated to learn they can be. This was highly evident in last week’s faction cross country carnival and I was thrilled to see the students showing perseverance and determination and finish the course. It was lovely to hear the Year 5 boys cheering for all runners regardless of faction allegiance and this reflects the encouraging and caring attitude of Brentwood students and their excellent sportsmanship. Speaking of sportsmanship, last week there was a friendly wager with some passionate Eagles supporters, however, as both teams lost of the weekend, both parties were required to wear the other teams colours. Hopefully Derby day yields better results. School begins for Term 3 on Tuesday 21 July and will see two new Year 2 classroom beginning in Room 5. As we enter phase 4 of COVID 19 restrictions, I look forward to the return of the Captain’s table after assemblies. Lastly, school reports will be uploaded for online collection on Wednesday 22nd July. I wish you all a safe and happy holiday and look forward to seeing everyone after the break.
