CHRISTMAS BREAK FUN FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES AT BREMEN PUBLIC LIBRARY

It’s not always easy to find free activities for children and young adults. Bremen Public Library is here to help! During Christmas Break, we have three events planned that will be sure to take away the win-ter blues. Christmas Coloring: Saturday, Dec. 23, 10:00-2:00 Join the creative craze! Stop by the Children’s Room at your leisure for this special holiday edition of Color Your World. Themed books will be featured as well as festive tunes for relaxation and auditory delight. Coloring generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates brain areas related to motor skills and sensory processing. All ages invited. Supplies provided. Brick Club—Geeky Crafts: Friday, Dec. 29, 11:00-5:30 Both practical and retro, these crafts range from quick and easy to challenging designs that will satisfy even the experienced builder. Projects include, but are not limited to: Space Invader Savers, Rubber Ducky, Flying Ducks, Zombie Pencil Holder, Floppy Disk Coasters, Cassette Letter Holder, Sword-in-the-Stone Paperweight, Lady Liberty, Dice, Giant key Holder, Robot Bottle Holder. Young adults, children and families are encouraged to join us for this time of imagination. We will use LEGO bricks to study concepts via themes, develop math and science skills, work in teams and have fun! Wii Gaming: Thursday, Jan. 4: 1:00-2:30 Show off your skills and get ready for some friendly competition as we gather to participate in Wii gam-ing! All ages invited to participate.

Bremen Youth Basketball League

The High School Boys’ and Girls’ basketball programs will be running a youth league this winter. We will

practice and play on Saturday afternoons, and all games and practices will be held in the Bremen Middle or

High school gyms.

Our plan is to have 2 separate leagues:

3rd/4th Grade (Boys & Girls combined) 5th/6th Grade (Boys Only)

The league will run for 5 consecutive weeks, starting on Saturday January 13th and concluding on February

10th. The kids will be placed on teams, and each team will have a coach that will be with them for the entire

season. Your child will practice with his or her team for approx. 45 mins prior to their game time each

Saturday. The cost will be $20 per player.

Please contact Matt Miller at [email protected] to register your child with the information needed

(see form below), or with any questions you might have. You may also fill out the form below and return it to

Mr. Andrews in the elementary school and he will get the forms to Coach Miller.

Thank you and we hope your child can join us!
