Welcome to Miss Bull’s bright & breezy bulletin #6! Something that has helped me over the last week, and something I think we could all benefit from remembering, has been the idea that ‘good enough is good enough’. We are all doing our best to figure out how to work and live and cope during these different times, and now more than ever we need to remember that it’s okay to simply do the best we can. We do not have to strive for perfection. In fact – little secret – perfection doesn’t exist! Do your best; take care of yourself; don’t exhaust yourself trying achieve something that may simply not be available to you right now. Good enough is good enough. Florence, Thomas, Bevan, Arrowe and Countess. These are the names of five baby penguins, recently hatched at Chester Zoo. They’ve been named after people and hospitals who have hugely contributed to the NHS throughout history. Click here to read more, and watch an adorable video of one of the penguins.

Welcome to Miss Bull’s bright & breezy bulletin #6! Something that has helped me over the last week, and something I think we could all benefit from remembering, has been the idea that ‘good enough is good enough’. Do your best; take care of yourself; don’t exhaust yourself trying achieve something that may simply not be available to you right now. Good enough is good enough.

Why not have a go at designing your own phone wallpaper? Choose a theme, and have a go at creating a repeating pattern with one image or a couple of images, to create a wallpaper like the examples shown. Try to create this in a rectangular shape, so that it fits well as a phone screen background. Once you’ve drawn your images, enjoy mindfully colouring them in. When you’re finished, you can take a photo of it with your phone – you might want to use the Microsoft Office Lens app – and set it as your background! If you’d rather use wallpapers created by other people – have a scroll through pinterest – there are hundreds of lovely designs. The process of enjoying aesthetically pleasing images can also be a calming, distracting activity in itself. If you complete this – please share your designs with me – [email protected]
