BREAKOUT SPACES CAN BEVALUABLE WORK AREAS

The term ‘breakout space’ is really amisnomer as it may suggest to staff andmanagement that if staff are seen therethey are assumed to be having a break. The fact is that, with the right technologyand environment, it will become a valuablework area. The breakout space cansupport spontaneous meetings that willsignificantly reduce the demand on thetraditional meeting rooms and reducedelays in projects and decisions due tomeeting rooms not being available whenneeded.

People sit downstairs and eatlunch, whereas before we used to eat at our desks so it is a realcommunity for us now and I think that is the best bit."
