Bread and Butter Pudding Serves 10 Ingredients
10 slices white bread 300ml milk 125g unsaturated spread 5 eggs 100g jam 50g caster sugar 300ml milk 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla essence
• METHOD: • Pre heat oven to 150c, 300F Gas 3 • Cover each side of the bread slices with a little spread, followed by a little jam. • Cut the bread diagonally into triangles and layer in a shallow oven proof dish or tray. • Beat together the milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla essence. • Pour over the bread triangles. • Allow the liquid to soak into the bread for 20-30
minutes. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes until the egg mix has set.
• Serve immediately.
