• Pioneering winery in the Wairau Valley – originally established in 1988 by a group of local wine growers and enthusiasts

• First winery to plant and produce Pinot Gris in Marlborough

• Home vineyards have a number of experimental vines for research and development

• 118 hectares of vineyards planted to mostly Sauvignon Blanc, but also Riesling, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Semillon & Pinot Noir

• Wetland established beside the winery to protect the Southern Bell Frog

• Practices include:- Water recycling- Composting- Package recycling- Electric forklifts- Biological pest control- Under vine mowing to help

eliminate use of artificial pesticides
