  • The Brand LookThe Pittsburgh Steelers Logo

Our Steelers logo is based off of the steel mark logo belonging to the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI). Our distinguished logo was created by the U.S. Steel Corporation (now known as USX Corp), and it uniquely contains three hypocloids, known as diamond shapes. Later in the 1960s, we had to petition the AISI in order to complete the logo and change the word, Steel inside the steel mark to, Steelers. Today, we pride ourselves on carrying this logo around not just on the football field on Sundays, but everywhere and any day that Steelers Nation wears our apparel. We demand excellence not just on the field when displaying our logo, but also demand excellence by the product we produce and sell off the field. We strive to be known by our logo, not just in America, but all over the globe.

The Terrible Towel The Terrible Towel is a symbol that not just identifies Steelers fans but unites them. The Terrible towel was invented by announcer Myron Cope back in 1975 during the playoffs, and with its magic tough would lead the Steelers onto a Super Bowl X victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The Terrible Towel not just unites our fan base, but brings opponents to their knees and crumple under the immense pressure. Many believe that the Terrible Towel has played a major impact in several Steelers games.

    The Brand CultureTradition Of Excellence

The Pittsburgh Steelers stand above the rest of the NFL as the only team to claim six Lombardi trophies. We have the third most amount of people enshrined in the Hall of Fame, and since our inception in 1933, no team born that year or after has as many hall of farmers as the Pittsburgh Steelers. With the Rooney family as our owners since our inception, the Pittsburgh Steelers have always been a hard working, hard nose team. The team is an embodiment of the great city of Pittsburgh and all the hard blue collar workers. Our city and our people never give up, and neither do the Pittsburgh Steelers. Win or lose, you know that we left everything on the field and in our front office! We play and work for Pittsburgh and all of Steelers Nation across the world!
