ONE DAY OF GIVING REPORT

If you were here Sunday morning you

know that just a few moments after I an-

nounced our One Day of Giving total I was

given an updated figure that was higher. I confess that I thought

about asking Todd to lead in a couple of more verses of the First

Nowell to see if the number would keep going up. We always

have a couple of people who have to get their contributions in

afterwards so we delay the final report until we can post it in the

newsletter. This year, you gave $12,083.50 for missions both

here in Commerce and around the world. You are to be com-

mended on your faithfulness and generosity. As we learned from

Paul Baxley during the Sunday School hour, your contributions

will help people gain access to clean drinking water and receive

desperately needed medical care and food, as well as hear the

Good News of the gospel. As we celebrate the birth of Christ in

just a few days, let’s also celebrate the opportunity to be the pres-

ence of Christ through the gifts we give. Merry Christmas!

Carlton

There will be no Men’s Fellowship Breakfast

on December 22.

Please join us on Christmas Eve

Communion at 5:30 pm Christmas Eve Service at 6:00 pm

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
