Where scientists, journalists and communicators meet The School is aimed at young scientists, journalists and communicators and generally to all who are interested in communicating science to the public. As a student you will be introduced to today’s challenges in science communication and science journalism by international experts. These challenges are brought forward by current developments in science, communication and

the media. The program of the School consists of lectures, interactive working sessions and discussions. Meeting with enthusiastic scientists, communica-tors and students will encourage you to develop

new communication strategies and tools. Every course of the School focuses on a specific scientific theme.

The rich culture of Sicily The “Ettore Majorana” Centre is located in the beautiful medieval town of Erice, on top of Mount Erice in Sicily, Italy. In this area of the Mediterranean innovative ideas have developed since ancient times, leaving their traces on culture, science, trade and politics. The lecture halls are located

in the old buildings of a monastery and a church, offering spectacular views of the island and the sea. During lunch breaks, evenings and the social program, there is time to enjoy the famous Sicilian food, drinks, ice-cream and culture.
