BrahMos India-Russia Joint Venture The formidable BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile on 01 November 2015 validated its strike power yet again after being successfully tested from Indian Navy's newest stealth destroyer INS Kochi on the west coast of India. The world's fastest cruise missile, after performing high-level and extremely complex manoeuvres, successfully hit a decommissioned target ship 'Alleppey' located at nearly full range of the missile (290-km) with high precision. th Paying glowing tributes to former President APJ Abdul Kalam on his 84 birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15 Oct 2015 said Dr. Kalam always looked for “challenges” and his life is a source of inspiration for all Indians. The Prime Minister also inaugurated a photo exhibition titled “A Celebration of Dr Kalam’s Life” and unveiled a bust at DRDO Bhavan in New Delhi. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi visited the BrahMos pavilion on 07 February 2016 during the International Fleet Review (IFR-16) hosted by Indian Navy & the Govt. of India in Visakhapatnam. BrahMos Aerospace participated in the Maritime Exhibition (MAREX) which was a part of the grand naval celebrations. The Prime Minister praised the BRAHMOS missile system - a successful role-model for 'Make In India'. The JV has contributed significantly in strengthening the defence and security of the nation. At 1000 hrs on 07 November 2015, the Indian Army fired BRAHMOS land- attack cruise missile successfully against a designated target at Pokhran test range in Rajasthan, demonstrating the weapon's supreme operational capability. The test-fire, carried out in the user-deployment configuration by trained army personnel, met all the mission objectives. Dr. S Christopher, Secretary Defence R&D and DG DRDO congratulated Indian Army and BrahMos Aerospace on the successful flight test. BrahMos India-Russia Joint Venture

The formidable BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile on 01 November 2015 validated its strike power yet again after being successfully tested from Indian Navy's newest stealth destroyer INS Kochi on the west coast of India.

BrahMos Aerospace has been conferred with the IEI Industry Excellence Award 2015 for its remarkable role and contribution in the field of Manufacturing and Processing in India.

Shri Tathagata Roy, Hon'ble Governor of Tripura, presented the prestigious award to BrahMos, during the 30th Indian Engineering Congress, organised by The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI) at Guwahati on 18 December 2015.
