• The EPM dd!"n has built in functionsallowing for enhanced reportingoptions and greater #e$ibility inreport building%

• EPM functions are housed under the

EPMFunctions category in thefunction wi&ard which can beaccessed by choosing the 'f$( buttonfro) the for)ula bar or '"nsertFunction( fro) the EPM ribbon%

• *i)ilar to other e$cel functions youcan utili&e the E$cel For)ulauto+o)plete functionality by typingin ',EPM( and choosing fro) adyna)ic list of functions%

• The for)ulas will auto)atically populate when building anew report using tools such as EPM 0eport Editor or -ragand -rop functionality%

• "n the page a$is you can additionally use,EPMOlapMultiMe)ber which will allow you to select)ultiple )e)bers with the intent of aggregating the datain the report%

• llows for custo)i&ed for)atting/ e$pansion/ sorting/ anddetail in a report

• EPMdi)ensionOverride is used to override the )e)berselection on a speci.c di)ension%

• The for)ula as6s you de.ne which report7s8/ whatdi)ension and what )e)ber you want to use to overrideoriginal )e)bers% 2ou )ay add criteria such as 9*/ -EP/*ELF/ L-EP7n8/ LL to show a dyna)ic selection%

• EPM+onte$tMe)ber and EPM *elect Me)ber both give you alist of )e)bers when you double clic6 on the function/however EPM+onte$tMe)ber function actually lin6s to theconte$t )e)ber in the conte$t bar and will update theconte$t bar to )atch your selection%

• 2ou )ay .lter the selection based on properties%

• The last part of the for)ula criteria designates what isdisplayed% "f you enter False or leave this section blan6 the "-of the )e)ber is displayed% "f you enter ':( the )e)berna)e will be displayed as it is in the conte$t bar%

• EPMMe)berO;set calls out a )e)ber based on another)e)ber and the o;set to that )e)ber% For instance/ if youwere to enter ,EPMMe)berO;set7/<=>::%?@</:8 the)e)ber that would be returned would be =>::%FE9%

• 2ou )ay also enter a Level Property% "n the e$a)ple belowthe for)ula re4uests an o;set of one/ but re4uires that)e)ber to be a year so the return value is the ne$t totalyear%

• 2ou )ay also negative nu)bers as an o;set value%

• EPM+opy0ange allows you to repeat a bloc6 of content inyour report that is de.ned outside of your report includingall for)ats/ for)ulas/ .$ed te$t and data validations%

• "f several reports share the sa)e a$is the EPM+opy0angefunction is ignored unless the a$is in the EPM+opy0ange isthe )aster a$is 70ow para)eter8%

• EPM+o)parison perfor)s a better or worse co)parison oftwo values based on the account type property%

• For e$a)pleA• "f an e$pense account is larger than another e$pense

account/ the value is negative/ whereas an inco)e

account would be positive%• if an e$pense account 7EBP8 is greater than a revenue

account 7"@+8/ than the variance is negative%

• The EPM0etrieve-ata function will allow you to retrieve veryspeci.c data for a full set of )e)bers% ny )e)ber notreferenced in the for)ula will use the )e)ber in the conte$t bar%

• The EPM*ave-ata function wor6s the sa)e/ but is used to savedata to the server as long as the wor6boo6 is designated as aninput te)plate%
