Brevard Paralegal Association I often deal with a great female attorney who describes her job as "herding cats". I feel the same most days and think that phrase aptly describes what most of us do for a living, or how our hectic lives sometimes (OK, all the time) feel. I just read an article online telling me to "Embrace Your Crazy, Chaotic Life". I don't know if I can embrace it, but I know I'm stuck with it, so I might as well, right? This month's President's Message is my last. I am looking forward to my position as Bar Liaison and continuing to be part of your Board of Directors. My last two years have been fantastic and I cannot thank BPA's membership enough for allowing me to serve as your president. It has been a great learning experience for me and I have made what I hope are lifelong friends in the process. Leading BPA has been a rewarding and challenging job (back to embracing my crazy life), and while I was not able to accomplish everything I set out to, I know that your new Board will do a fabulous job and that great things are in store for us as an organization. I cannot thank those who have served BPA for the past two years enough -- you know who you are, but in case our readers don't -- Mo Martens, Patty Wright, Silvia Cowan, Debra Clarke, Toni-Marie D'Alessandro, Tracy King, Roma Molinaro, Eveling Raymond, Kim Dexter, Debbie Dye, Pat Bieringer, Nicole Dooley, and Sabine Martel. These paralegals have given unreservedly of themselves and their time. Thank you for all you have done for BPA, for your time, efforts and guidance. I know I couldn't have done my job without you. Please don't forget this is the last month to make donations to our BPA basket to be raffled off at the PAF Spring Seminar in May. This year's theme is "A Pampered Paralegal". Please see me at this month's meeting if you have anything to donate. This month's gathering is BPAs annual meeting and election. I'm happy to report that many in our membership have formally declared for positions. We'll have a fantastic group to lead us in the 2011-12 term.
