Dear Friends,

On the following pages you will find the 2011-2012 annual report for the

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale. We are proud to highlight the

important accomplishments in our youth development programs, facilities,

operations and fundraising.

We believe every child should be able to reach their full potential. Our family

our community and create a positive place where great futures begin.

The level of excellence we provide could not be met without the support and

generosity of individuals, corporations, and organizations in the Valley and

throughout the nation. This support helps us be the premier youth development

organization that we are today.

On behalf of Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, thank you for your

support and dedication.

ALYSSA COUGHENOUR2012 Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s Youth of the Year

Scottsdale resident and Pinnacle High School senior Alyssa Coughenour was selected as the 2012 Youth of the Year for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.

Coughenour was a member of the Thunderbirds branch and has been involved in a variety of educational and community service programs. It is here she learned about the importance of respecting others, something she encourages younger members to understand. She credits her favorite Club program, the PROUD Conference, for teaching her how to trust and respect her peers and counselors.

The Youth of the Year program has been an integral part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale and is the highest honor given to members of the organization. Finalists are chosen based on their dedication to the Club, community and family, academic performance, moral character, life goals, leadership, poise and public speaking ability.

Coughenour is attending Duke University and hopes to pursue a career in Public Relations.
