BOX OF CHOCOLATES is a fresh cross-genre band from Berlin with intelligent and complex songs as colorful as chocolates in a box.
The four experienced musicians Eff (vocals), Loupoe (guitar), Pet (bass) and Lars (drums) draw their influences from such different sources as Blues Rock, Seattle grunge, and 90’s trip hop.
The connecting link between the songs is lead singer Eff’s clear soprano voice that can sound both strong and powerful as well as gentle and intimate running parallels to Kate Bush and Heather Nova.
BOX OF CHOCOLATES is known for sharing all the fun with their audiences.

Freshly formed, the band participated in the 2016 Emergenza band contest.
Surprising both the crowd and the jury, BOX OF CHOCOLATES won their first round and the semi finals at the famous Berlin punk venue SO36 and made it to the German national finals.

An evening might start with a rock song, the band might throw in a blues, try out a sexy pop song, get more funky, turn left at new wave, pass by grunge and end with a raging cross-over track that leaves your ears ringing. To quote Forrest Gump’s mother: “You never know what you’re going to get.” At least you won’t get bored.
The band just released their first album LIMINAL. Liminality describes a human state that happens during rites of passage when you have not yet completed the transition. The fifteen songs tell different stories of such a turning points in life.
