Delivery:All cabinets are cartoned for delivery. Shipments will be made on GOE’s own trucks whenever possible, providing the delivery point is within our operating range.Common carrier or other methods may be used in unusual circumstances. It is the Dealer’s responsibility to provide personnel to assist the driver in unloading cabinets from the truck. If a delivery is less than six cabinets, there will be a $126 list drop charge. If a job site delivery is requested, our job site formmust be filled out and sent in with order and map orinstructions. A job site delivery charge is $540 list.

Terms:Terms are Net 30 days from date of invoice, subject tocredit approval. An additional 3% discount is allowed for payment in 10 days. Invoices not paid in 30 days will be subject to a 1 1/2% per month finance charge,and may result in subsequent orders being held for production and/or shipment. All orders are shipped FOB Waterloo, Iowa.

Displays: All dealers are required to install at least one display of such proportion as to adequately promote the sale of our product. Marketplace’s design staff is available to assist in showroom and display design at net cost. A 25% display discount is allowed on all displays installed in the dealers place of business for a minimum of six months.

Returns:All Marketplace merchandise is non-returnable.

Defective Material:

Doors: Doors that are warped 1/4” or less must be allowed tohang through one heating cycle before a no chargereplacement will be considered. Some doors may warpslightly after installation in new homes due to high humidity levels and in older homes because of low humidity. The door will usually return to its normal flatposition after going through the heating cycle. Please be

certain the door is warped rather than the cabinet being

racked out of square.

Cabinets or Parts: Cabinets or parts that are defective will be replaced on arush basis. Replacement orders exceeding $600 list pricerequire field inspection and signed authorization by ourMarketplace Sales Representative, and original cabinets

or parts must be returned to Marketplace for credit.

Finish:Complaints concerning finish must be inspected by a field representative. Marketplace reserves the option ofapproving a field repair or returning the cabinet or part tothe factory for repair or replacement. No action may betaken without factory authorization. Exposure to smoke orextreme sunlight will alter the original appearance. Slightvariations in grain and color are not considered defects, as this is the natural character and warmth of wood.

Damaged Items:All replacement orders for items damaged during shippingneed to be reordered within 60 days from the date theorder was received. Replacement orders will be shippeddirectly to the dealership. Job site delivery for replacement parts will be charged thestandard job site fee unless the original job was a job sitedelivery.

Order Changes/Cancellations:Marketplace orders will not be allowed to make any typeof changes or cancellations once the order has been

received.

Frames:All frames are 1 1/2" X 3/4" solid wood.

Sides:Cabinet sides are 1/2" thick, PBC with natural birch woodgrain laminate interior. All exterior sides are a matching woodgrain laminate to match the wood specie of the cabinet ordered. Sides are fastened to the frontframe with glue using dado construction.

Plywood Return Option;Available on a per cabinet basis. Both sides of the cabinetwill have a plywood return. All exterior sides will be finished in the wood species and stain color chosen for the job. All interior sides are a natural birch woodgrainlaminate. Please specify PRO See page M5.

Tops and Bottoms:Tops and bottoms of all wall cabinets and the bottoms of base cabinets are 1/2" thick PBC with natural birch woodgrainlaminate. Tops and bottoms are glued and set into the sidesand frame.

Backs:Backs are 1/8" veneer core plywood with natural birch woodgrain laminate.

Shelves:Shelves are 3/4" thick PBC with natural birch woodgrain lami-nate both sides and front edge. Shelves are supported withplastic shelf supports and are adjustable on 32mm increments.

Toekick:1/2" PBC matching woodgrain laminate to match the woodspecie of the cabinet ordered. Supplied in 4 3/8" X 8' lengths.

Heat shield:One set of Heat Shields are sent with every foil kitchen. Theyare used to protect the foil parts from heat given off by a selfcleaning oven during the cleaning cycle.

Hardware:All doors have a concealed hinge which is a self-closing,adjustable hinge. Pulls and knobs are available in a variety ofstyles and are furnished at no charge. You have 90 days fromthe date of delivery to choose hardware. If hardware isordered after the 90 days it will be charged full price ($5.00 list each piece) plus shipping. See page G19 for hardware choices.

Finish:All cabinets are sanded prior to staining. A penetrating grainstain is then applied. The sealer coat, which is a catalyzedconversion coating, is sprayed and cured. This sealer is ablending of alkyd, amino and vinyl resins, which contributes tothe overall durability of the system by penetrating the grain ofthe wood and providing a "link" coat between the stain and the topcoat. The sealer is then sanded and prepared for thetopcoat application. The final coating is a catalyzed, conversion varnish which is a carefully formulated combination of alkyd and amino resins. After spray applicationthe film is cured and cross links to form a superior thermosetcoating that possesses exceptional stain, moisture and chemical resistance, while retaining its clarity.

Special Wall Cabinet Considerations:Any wall cabinet over 24” wide or 30” tall must be securelyinstalled using one of the following options: Securing thecabinet between two cabinets; between a cabinet and a wall;supported from below; or attached through the frame into asoffit frame structure. Failure to properly secure wall cabinetswill void the warranty.

WOOD CHARACTERISTICSAlderA fine-grained hardwood similar to Cherry, Birch, and Maple. Pale yellow (tan) to reddish brown in color. A soft, light wood with even texture and straight grain that accepts stain well. Characteristics include random sized tight knots and rays.BirchWhite Birch, medium hardwood, similar to Maple but not as consistent in color as Maple, good base for solid color finishes, accepts stain unevenly; mottles. Mottling is a blotchy appearance evident due to various densities in the wood. Not recommended for darker stains. Off white color, medium density, fine texture, straight grain. CherryDarkens with age at a very fast rate, pitch marks (worm holes), mineral streaks, medium hardwood, accepts stain well.Cherry is especially sensitive to light. Light will cause the wood to darken/redden significantly. Medium reddish brown color,medium density, fine texture, straight grain. Sap wood of up to 20% is standard on any cherry component.HickoryHardwood, mineral streaks, accepts stain evenly, known for its “wild” contrasting light and dark streaks. Light brown color,hard density, medium coarse texture, straight grain, strong, elastic, hard. Hickory has white sapwood and reddish/dark heartwood.MapleHardwood, fine, tight grain, looks best with light, natural, or solid color finishes, yellows slightly with age. Not recommendedfor darker stains. Cream color, hard density, fine texture, straight grain.OakHardwood, open grain, accepts stain well, will darken slightly with age, grain pattern very evident when a solid color finish isapplied. May vary in color from light to dark with possible shades of green.RusticSolid wood will have character marks such as large knots and wane. Other characteristics include: small pin knots, bird pecks,worm tracks, mineral stain, irregular figures in the grain, cracks that do not hurt the strength of the part, sap wood and cherrypitch marks. Bertch Cabinet Mfg., Inc. Limited Lifetime Warranty

Bertch Cabinet Mfg., Inc. warrants its products to be free from defects in material or workmanship for as long asthey are owned by the original purchaser. Bertch Cabinet Mfg., Inc., at their choice, may elect to repair orreplace any Bertch product covered by this warranty.

This warranty does not apply where items have been improperly stored or improperly installed. This warranty doesnot cover the following: costs of removing warranted material or the installation of replacement material, naturalvariations and aging inherent in wood, normal wear and tear or damage/defects caused by mis-use, abuse,negligence or modification in any way. This warranty does not apply to products purchased without finish.

Bertch Cabinet Mfg., Inc. reserves the right to inspect claimed defective products. No returns, replacements orrepairs may be made without prior written consent. Some replacement parts may vary from those originallysupplied and are subject to availability.

This warranty is the sole warranty of Bertch Cabinet Mfg., Inc. and in lieu of all other warranties, express implied,including any implied warranty of merchantability and fitness for a particular use. Labor charges for removal of orinstallation of warranted material as well as incidental or consequential damages are excluded. We do notassume for us any other liability in connection with the sale of our product.

Special Wall Cabinet Considerations:Any wall cabinet over 24” wide or 30” tall must be securely installed using one of the following options:Securing the cabinet between two cabinets; between a cabinet and a wall; supported from below; or attached through the frame into a soffit frame structure. Failure to properly secure wall cabinets will void thewarranty.

Special Door Considerations:The purchaser agrees to let doors that are warped 1/4” or less to hang for one season (Spring) beforereplacement is requested. Typically a door will return to its normal flat position once it is acclimated totemperature and humidity conditions. Prior to requesting a replacement for a warped door, please be sure thedoor has been installed properly.

Special 3 D Laminate Product Considerations:This warranty does not apply to any 3 D Laminate products installed without the use of properly installed heatshields, adjacent to appliances or fixtures, such as lighting that generates high temperatures.

Special Oasis Considerations:This warranty shall not apply to damage from the following: Improper installation or fabrication, physical orchemical abuse, exposure to excessive heat or improper maintenance including improper adhesive, caulk orgrout.

To file a claim on this warranty contact your local authorized Bertch dealer.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or of incidental and consequential damages, so thislimitation or exclusion may not apply. In such case, the duration of any implied warranty shall be the same as that of theexpressed warranty as stated herein.
