About Bowerbird Bazaar… Celebrating its third birthday and eighth event this November, Adelaide’s Design Market - Bowerbird Bazaar was created in 2009. It has become a vibrant, funky and eagerly-anticipated addition to the South Australian calendar of events.

It’s about enterprise on many levels. The event is independently run - free of public funding - and is a huge supporter of Australian designers and makers. The enterprise of each stallholder is also to be celebrated.

Bowerbird promotes high quality ideas and craftsmanship, the appeal of the handmade and the personal interaction between buyer and maker.

It provides a platform for artists and designers to sell directly to the public, trial new products, gain direct market feedback and showcase the best of Australian craftsmanship and design. South Australian designers gain exposure. Interstate designers introduce their products to South Australian audiences. There’s a richness in bringing everyone together under the one roof.

Outgrowing the wonderful historic Queens Theatre after five events, Bowerbird currently resides happily in the industirial Angas Stirling Pavilion at the Adelaide Showgrounds.
