Bowerbird Bazaar May 2O13Welcome to Bowerbird’s Autumn/Winter event…Perfect timing to gather and prepare for the cooler months ahead.

Enjoy the launch of exciting new winter collections, meet more than thirty designer/makers new to Bowerbird and catch up with favourites from all around Australia.

Curated and held twice a year in Adelaide, Bowerbird unveils lots of new ideas and an inspiring new ‘look’ this year. Based on the whimsical illustrations that grace our promotional material by Jacob Logos (Bowerbird’s artist for 2013), working with Set Designer Wendy Todd and Designer Julie Pieda (Koush Design) has been a joy.

Be tempted back for more by the array of delicious local artisan-made food and drinks on offer and exciting demonstrations and workshops that remind us just how much time and skill goes into creating beautiful handmade products.

It’s a warm and friendly event with soul, great food, funky music and accessible design. Something for everyone…

Bowerbird’s Artist for 2O13 - Jacob LogosThe creator of the wonderful illustration on the front cover of this catalogue, Adelaide based artist Jacob Logos, has been exhibiting for over 10 years. He was awarded the ‘Art in Public Places’ grant for his studio/gallery ‘delacatessen’ in Waymouth street, and has recently engaged in multidisciplinary collaborations with high calibre artists all over the world, including group shows at the Royal Academy London, and as part of the street art tour in Buenos Aires.

In 2013, Jacob will embark on a three month residency and exhibition at Stuben-Flieger Gallery in Lucerne, Switzerland, as part of arts association ‘Masnada’. And while painting is still his overriding passion, music, theatre, dance, technology and printmaking are now important components of Jacob’s creative collaborations.
