The Long Island Coalition for the Homeless runs a distribution center, the Boutique, which provides people in need with an opportunity to obtain clothing and other essentials. Customers are referred through our community partners using our referral form. Shopping is free of charge for all who come. Visit www.addressthehomeless.org to obtain a referral form.

All merchandise at the Boutique are donated by individuals and organizations. The items include clothing, shoes, housewares, personal care items and toiletries, baby essentials, and more! We also have a limited supply of non-perishable foods.

The Boutique is much more than a distribution center. The program engages the community in volunteerism, giving, and spreading awareness about the issue

We need volunteers for The Boutique!

Volunteers act as personal shoppers to assist people in finding the perfect items for their needs. Volunteers are also responsible for sorting, organizing and merchandizing donated items. The goal is for every person to shop with dignity in a friendly and welcoming environment. The Boutique is constantly beng decorated and updated to fit the season.

Most needed items:

• New Baby Essentials (Diapers, Formula, Wipes, & Toiletries)

• New Personal Care Items (Feminine Care Products, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Shower Products, & Adult Care Items)

• New Socks and Underwear• New or Gently Used Plus Size Clothing• New School Supplies (Backpacks, Binders,

Dividers, & Spiral and Composition Notebooks)

All donations can be brought to 600 Albany Ave, Amityville NY 11701We accept donations M to F 9am to 5pm
