General Description

The Bose® PANARAY System DigitalController utilizes digital signalprocessing (DSP) architecture toprovide smooth, accurate spectralresponse for any Bose professionalloudspeaker product requiring activeequalization (EQ) or additionalprocessing.Any Bose professional loudspeakerEQ can be accessed by simplyselecting the appropriate preset andconfiguration. No programming isrequired.

The controller has two balanced XLRanalog inputs and four balancedXLR outputs. It can be configured torun two mono Bose EQ presets or asingle stereo Bose EQ preset(including preset crossover settings).

In addition to providing Bosespeaker EQ presets, the controlleralso has the following easy-to-useprogrammable features:• Four independent signal delays

(200 ms per output) which can beused for decentralized or distrib-uted speaker alignment and forcreating custom bass arrays.

• Four independent output limitersthat can be set to protect speak-ers from unpredictable spikes inprogram material.

• A programmable signal routerwhich allows each output to selectfull-range and high- or low-passcombinations of input signals.

The controller shall use a digitalsignal processing architecturerunning at a 44.1kHz sample rate.The frequency response shall befrom 20Hz to 20kHz (+0/-0.1dB). Thedynamic range shall be 95dB typical20Hz to 20kHz.

The controller shall include a singleanalog XLR balanced input connec-tor for each of the two input chan-nels. It shall have a single analogXLR balanced output for each of itsfour outputs. The Maximum InputLevel shall be +18dBu (balanced).The Maximum Output Level shall be+18dBu (balanced). The input imped-ance shall be 21k ohms for balancedoperation. The throughput delay timethrough the controller shall be0.63ms.Crosstalk shall be <-95dB, 20Hz to20kHz. The THD shall be <92dBtypical at 1kHz.

A 5-pin din connector COM port shallbe used for software updates.

The power supply shall be autoswitching from 100 to 240 VAC, 50 to60 Hz. Power consumption shall be<15W.
