FY2013 RUS-DLT Application • FOCUS: Mandate – By 2020, a minimum of 85% of Alabama nurses must have a

bachelor’s (BS) degree • CHALLENGE: Only 16 of the 46 nursing programs in the state offer BS

programs, a significant % of current nurses do not have bachelor’s degrees • SOLUTION: Tuskegee University will offer all courses over Distance Learning,

including off-hours use of school district sites and archiving of interactive classes for VOD
