How to Enter an Application

1. From the main menu, mouse over Products > Business Owners Policy > Business Owners Policy > Applicable State (e.g. FL).

Eligibility Checklist

2. Review the Eligibility Checklist. 3. You may click Underwriting

Manual shown in underlined blue text for detailed information.

4. You may also click the blue underlined text for the Quick Reference Guide.

5. If the applicant meets all of the requirements, click Yes and Next Page.

Applicant Information

6. Enter the following Applicant Information:

• Effective Date (defaults to day of application)

• Form of Business • Years in Business • Years of Experience • Mailing Address, as well as

the Emergency Preparedness email address and website

Policy Information

7. Enter Policy Type (Standard Form or Special Form)

Contact Information

8. Enter first name, last name, and phone number.

Optional 3rd Party Coverages/Services

9. Select Cyber Liability Coverage. Please click More Info if you would like to see additional Cyber Liability Coverage details.

Prior Insurance Information 10. If there was Prior Insurance

Coverage, select Yes. Enter the Prior Carrier’s name, Policy Number, Expiration Date, Expiring Premium and type of Proof of Prior Insurance. If applicable, Additional Bankers Insurance Group policy, answer Yes and provide the Policy Number and Group Name.

11. Click Next Page. Coverages

12. Select the General Liability Coverage limit from the drop down.

13. Select Additional Coverages if any: • Additional Insureds (Click

More Info for types available)

• Employee Dishonesty ($10K automatically included enter amount greater than$10K),

• Hired Automobile and Non-Owned Automobile. (Underwriting questions to be answered if Additional Coverages are selected).

14. Click Next Page.

Adding Locations

15. To add a Location, click the icon as shown.

16. Enter Location Details, you may use The mailing address for a location, which will populate the address for you, Indicate Within City Limits and click Update.

17. Select Wind Coverage and Sinkhole Exclusion. Select the Location Deductible from the drop down.

18. Click Next.

19. To add additional Locations, click the icon. Note: Locations can also be edited or deleted by clicking the icons.

Location Coverages 20. Select optional Location Coverages:

Dock Coverage, Professional Liability and Swimming Pool Exposure. (Additional underwriting questions to be answered if additional coverages are selected.)

21. If any additional locations, click the blue link to add Location Coverages for the next location.

22. Click Next Page.

Entering Building Characteristics

23. Click the icon as shown to enter building Select which location these attributes apply to. Once you make your selection, the address will populate.

24. Indicate Within City Limits. 25. Description of Operations. 26. Select a Construction Type and

number of stories from drop down.

27. Enter Year Built. 28. Select Applicant Interest and

Occupancy Type from drop down. 29. Indicate Condo Association and

Condo Owner. 30. Enter the square footage of the

Area Occupied. 31. Indicate if Building Sprinklered,

Protection Safeguards and Number of Units in Building.

32. Select Automatic Increase in Insurance and Annual Revenue for this Building.

33. Indicate Water Damage Exclusion. 34. Click Update.

Risk Questions

26. Indicate if risk is a converted structure.

27. Indicate if applicant maintains certificate of insurance from all tenants naming applicant as additional insured.

28. Click Update.

29. Click the icon as shown to add additional buildings.

30. Click the icon as shown to select the Class Code.

31. Enter Occupant Interest, Class Code and Number of Employees.

• Note: Sq. Footage entered previously will display on side.

32. Click Add for additional

class codes and any Occupant Interest type.

33. Click Update when all class codes have been added.

34. Click Next Page

Main Coverages

35. Enter the Building Limit, (Select Replacement Cost or Actual Cash Value) Business Personal Property and Business Income Extra Expense from drop down.

Additional Coverages

36. Select Business Income Time Period and Business Income Ordinary Payroll from drop downs

37. Enter Accounts Receivable on Premises ($25K automatically included enter amount greater than $25K). Enter Fine Arts amount ($10K automatically included enter amount greater than $10K).

38. Click the box to add Additional Coverages - Additional Insureds (Click More Info for types available), Mechanical Breakdown, Computer Coverage. Ordinance or Law, Spoilage ($250 deductible), Glass sq. ft. ($250 deductible) and Outdoor Signs-All Risk ($250 deductible)

39. Once you have added the coverages for the first location, click the second location address to select coverages for second location.

40. Click Next Page.

Loss History

41. To add a Loss History record, click the icon.

42. Enter the Date of Loss, Type and Amount Paid. Click Update

Additional Questions

43. Indicate if any other subsidiaries, operate any business or own other property. If Yes, please explain. Click Next Page.

Premium Page – Quote Proposal, Binding Policy, Submit to Underwriting

44. Review the Premium Information

45. Click View Non-Binding Quote to Download Quote PDF

46. If Quote Does Not Require Underwriting Review Button Will Read “Bind Quote”

47. If Quote Requires Underwriting Review the Button will Read “Next”

48. Click Comments to Include Additional Information for Underwriting Review

49. Click Submit UW Review for Underwriting Team to Review Quote. Approval Rejection Email will be Sent to Email Address Listed

Billing / Payment (Binding)

50. Select Billing Plan, enter Payment Option, Payor, and Binding Authority (Customers can sign up for automatic payments through Bankers’ Consumer Portal)

51. Click Submit Application to Bind Policy

52. Application is Generated and Click to Save Application PDF (Signed Application Must be Retained by Agency in Event of Audit)

27. Search by Quote Number, Individual Name

Business Name, or Property Address then

Select Product to Search from and Click

Next to complete the search Will print this quote Copies the quote Allows you to do further work with this quote Deletes the quote
