Book Exhibition celebrating 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam at the National Library of Viet Nam

On February 2, 2020, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) hosted andcoordinated with the Central Propaganda and Education Commissionand the Ministry ofCulture, Sports and Tourism to organize a book exhibition celebrating the 90th foundinganniversary of the Communist Party of VietNam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2020) at theNational Library of Viet Nam(NLV).

Attending the exhibition were comrade Vo Van Thuong – Member of the Politburo, Secretaryof the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Propaganda and Education Commission;comrade Nguyen Manh Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of theCentral Propaganda and Education Commission, Minister of Information and Communications;comrade Nguyen The Ky - Member of the Party Central Committee, General Director of theVoice of Viet Nam, Chairman of the Central Council for the Theory and Criticism of Literatureand the Arts; Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Party CentralCommittee, Deputy Director of the General Politics Departmentof the Viet Nam People's Army;comrade Hau A Lenh - Member of Party Central Committee, Vice President - GeneralSecretary of Viet NamFatherland Front Central Committee; comrade Ta Quang Dong - Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; comrade HoangVinh Bao - Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, President of VietnamesePublishing Association; comrade Kieu Thuy Nga - Party Committee Secretary, Director of theNational Library of Viet Nam..., and representatives of some central departments, ministries andagencies.

At the opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, President ofVietnamese Publishing Association – comrade Hoang Vinh Bao emphasized: 90 years ago, inthe spring of 1930, the Communist Party of Viet Nam was founded, marking a crucial turningpoint in the history of our country's revolution. Since President Ho Chi Minh launched arevolutionary campaign, the very firstbooks and documents have become sharp weaponsinpropaganda, education, enlightenmentandgathering all classes of people to rise up for thenational liberation revolutions.

About 10,000 books published in different periodsare on displayed at the exhibition. In thecentral space, the NLV exhibits books on suchcontentsas: Communist Party of VietNam throughthe periods; Communist Party of Viet Nam with the resistance war for national liberation andreunification; Communist Party of Viet Namwith the renovation, development and internationalintegration; Party constructionactivities; the Complete collection of Party Documents, V.I. LeninComplete collection, Ho Chi Minh Complete collection.

Besides the exhibitionmain space, other outdoor activities also tookplace during the eventincluding the display of typical book model; booths for selling and introducing books of theNational Political Publishing House, the People’s Public Security Publishing House, thePeople's Army Publishing House, the Political Theory Publishing House, Information andCommunications Publisher, Tre Publishing House..., andactivities of introducing new books,exchanges and talks with readers.

The exhibition takes place from February 2 -9, 2020.
