Practices It is recommended that each Red Tide AAU team practice at least 2-3 times a week, for at
least 3hrs(depends upon age). Many of the facilities we use require a fee for their use. It will need to be discussed amongst the team on how the gym fees will be paid out of the teams Maintenance account. Fundraising With any AAU programs, fundraising is a must. To offset many of the associated costs (Uniforms, Tournament Entry Fees, etc) it is recommend that your team conduct fund raisers internally and or externally. It has been estimated, the average cost for a player to participate on a travelling AAU team is around $1800.00. We have a few ideas that will help you to raise
money fast.
Free-Throw-a-thons Bingo Wal-Mart Soliciting Car Washes Sponsorship Golf Tournaments Candy Sales
Etc **Important Note** Teams that elect to fund raise during the off season may do so as long as the parents have the understanding that any money raised does not guarantee their daughter an automatic roster spot for the up and coming season. Players are required to try out for their respective teams. If the player does not make the team, the money that was raised during the offseason will "NOT" be refunded. The Red Tide Director can make a
judgment call in certain cases to override this policy at his discretion.
Status Reporting Each Coach will be required to turn in a bi-weekly status of your team (twice a month) to the director or assistant Director. This status can be a phone call or e-mail. desirable ideals of character.
II. I, as the coach, must always consider the personal safety of the athletes.
III. I shall be thoroughly acquainted with the rules and regulations of competition, and
shall be responsible for their interpretation to team members. I shall not try to seek an advantage
