- Long bone
- In the region of the thigh
- Hip is proximal to the femur
- Knee is distal to the femur
- 4. Tibia & Fibula
- In the region of the shin
- Knee is proximal to these bones
- Ankle is distal to these bones
- 5. Humerus
- Long bone
- The upper arm bone
- Shoulder is proximal to the humerus
- Elbow is distal to the humerus
- 6. Forearm
- Long bones
- The region of the ulna and radius
- Elbow is proximal to the forearm
- Wrist is distal to the forearm
- 7. Elbow
- Known as a region and a joint
- As a joint, it is made up of: radius, ulna, humerus
- 2 types of movement permitted at elbow: pronation/supination & flexion/extension
- 8. Shoulder
- Known as a region and a joint
- The joint is made up of the scapula and humerus bones
- Some movements at this joint include abduction/adduction, rotation
- 9. Bones of the Hand & Wrist
- Wrist is a complex of joints
- Made up of many bones: radius, ulna, navicular, lunate, triquetrum, pisiform, multangular, greater multangular,capitate, and hamate.
- 10. Ankle
- A joint made up of the tibia, fibula, and talus.
- The talus is part of three main joint complexes: the ankle, the subtalar joint, and the talo navicular joint.
- 11. Thorax
- The chest region
- Includes the ribs, spine, breast bone, clavicles, and diaphragm
- Bones that protect the lungs

- Im a student at Grand Valley State University studying Secondary Education. My major is Mathematics and my minor is Health Education. I would love to teach at the high school level. I enjoy running in my free time.
