Youth Red Cross Committee in collaboration with Orthopedic Association, Bilaspur organised ‘Bone and Joint’ Awareness program. Dr. Kalyani, Senior Orthopedician & Dr. Shirish Sharma shared their expertise on Arthritis, Osteoporosis; Accident Trauma etc. also spoke on the prevention and proper treatment. The principal Dr. Sheohare, entire staff and a large number of students participated and benefitted by the programme.

Red Cross Committee in collaboration with Bilaspur Traffic Police & Orthopedic
Association organised a program on Road Safety Rules. Dr. Manoj Rathore explained the
students about ‘Road Safety Rules’ and its long run benefits. By following rules we can
save many lives.

Dr. K.K.Jaiswal, Distt. Hospital, Bilaspur delivered a lecture to promote the need and
importance of Blood Donation. The staff and number of students participated in the
program.
Lecture on Health & Hygiene By Dr. Akhilesh Verma
Dr. Akhilesh Verma, IMA, Bilaspur, delivered a lecture on “Health & Hygiene Practices” to
prevent infections, in order to maintain good health. Large number of students were motivated
and they raised many questions in the interactive session.

Dr.Nitin Juneja, IMA, Bilaspur Spoke on the Need and Relevance of First Aid.
Dr. Juneja deliberated that First Aid Training equips potentially lifesaving ability to learner. They can assist
an injured or ill person during a variety of emergency situations and helping brings down the number of
accidents. First Aid and CPR save lives, particularly where there are grave and critical injuries and
immediate action must be taken.

Lecture on Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome By Dr. Prakriti Verma
• Dr. Prakriti Verma, Gynaecologist, sensitized the students on the Polycystic Ovarian
Syndrome (PCOS) in young girls, its symptoms, causes and possible treatment, also
explained menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene through PPT.
• A large number of students actively participated and cleared their doubts.
• The program was successfully organized under the guidance of the In-charge
principal Dr. Kiran Vajpayee Madam.

Dr. Meena Kshetrapal, Convener, Youth Red Cross Committee sensitized the students on
‘Swine Flu’, its symptoms, causes, tests, and prevention methods, also motivated the
students on physical hygiene and health awareness. Large number of students
participated and benefited.

Lecture on Blood Composition by Dr. Gidwani
Youth Red Cross Committee organized Blood Donation Awareness Campaign in
collaboration with JAZBA WELFARE SOCIETY, Bilaspur.
Dr. Gidwani, IMA, Bilaspur chaired the session and spoke on the topic ‘Blood
Composition’ in detail, also motivated the students for donating blood.
The program was organized under the guidance of the principal of the college Dr.
S.L.Nirala. A large number of professors and students participated in the program.

Youth Red Cross Committee organized ‘Blood Donation Awareness Campaign’ in
collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, Bilaspur. Dr. Prerna Mohan presided over the
program and encouraged the students about the need and importance of Blood
Donation, its advantages and benefits both for Donors and the society.
The principal of the college Dr. S.L. Nirala also threw light on the topic and
motivated the students.
All the professors and a large number of students participated and benefited.

Rajya Mahila Ayog Seminar on Gender Issue
In 2018 Rajya Mahila Ayog organised a week long Gender Sensitization Program in the
State, in this context a one day seminar on 23/1/2018 was organised in our college to
provide information to the girl students “What Their Rights Are” and their Legal Rights.
Pamphlets were distributed to the students. Help Line Number was also given to students
and were told that they can contact on this number without hesitation if they need any
kind of help. It was an informative program for students.

Youth Red Cross Committee under the mentorship of the Principal Dr. S.L. Nirala organized a lecture on
“Examination and Stress” Dr. Fareeha Aalam Siddiquee CEO Jila Panchayat Bilaspur sensitized the students not to take rest
during the examination and discuss on certain ways to reduce stress level in day to day life. Student’s actively participated in
the programme.
Session includes the installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending machine donated by Rotary Club Queens
Bilaspur. Machine provides sanitary napkin at low price. Mrs. Prerna Surana, President of Rotary Club Queens delivered
lecture on “Working and Benefits of SNV Machine. Session was informative and interactive. A large number of students and
staff members activity participated. Programme is followed by Plantation in College Campus.

Youth Red Cross Committee of the college organized a Health Camp in collaboration with LIC of India to promote Eye
Health awareness checkup was done by Himalaya opticals and Dental check up by the staff of Triveni Dental College Bilaspur.
A large number of students and staff were benefitted from Eye test and Dental checkup.

Youth Red Cross Committee in collaboration with Apollo Hospital Bilaspur organized a programme on Race to
End Women Cancer. Dr. Priyanka Singh, Senior Consultant (Radio-Oncology) delivered a lecture on a “C A breast”. The
session was informative and interactive in which overwhelming number of students and staff actively participated.
The session included a lecture on C ACervix. Dr. KavitaBabber M.D. (Gynecologist )motivated the audience
and emphasized that proper awareness and screening of Cancer is the need of the hour. A lot of participants clarified their
doubts in the interactive session.

LECTURE – “Installation of Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine”

An SNV Machine was installed in college donated by Lions Club Queens Bilaspur. President of the Club Mrs.
Farheen Aalam Chishti, Secretary, Chair-Person Mrs. Swarnkar, Lions Club Governer Mr. Jain and Mrs. Mahish Agrawal and
other member of a club present in the programme, Dr. Sushma Singh of “Nidan” NGO spoke on the well need and relevance of
the use of Sanitary Napkin. Large number of students participated in the awareness session organized by Youth Red Cross
Committee.

organized a programme “Interactive Health Education” Dr. Jagbir Singh MD Medicine spoke on “Impact of Rheumatoid –
Myths & Facts”. Students and staff participated and cleared their doubts.
Dr. Akanksha Dixit delivered a lecture on “Personal Hygiene”. Large number of students participated and
benefitted a lot. In the session Dr. Shikha Singh B.P.T.MIAP motivated the students for Yoga and Physical Exercises.
Students raised many questions in the Interactive Session and cleared their doubts. ARC and PARC clinic donated one SNV
machine to the college which was installed near Girl’s Common Room

A Programme on TB (symptoms, causes and treatment) was organized by Youth Red Cross Society. Dr. Madhuri

Lecture on “Girl Child Day"
A talk was delivered by Arif Sheikh , Superintendent of Police Bilaspur on the occasion of girl child day on 5-10-18. He
expressed his views and stated that girls are the precious gift of god to society and also plays a strong role in managing
economy of family. Priority has to be given for the safety of this fifty percent population of the society so that can move
freely, fearlessly to achieve there dreams. More than 80 students participated in this program me.
