ABRE MEXICO ENTREVISTAS PRELIMINARES DEL NORCECA SUB 18 FEMENIL TIJUANA, Baja California.— México fue el primer equipo en participar en la entrevista preliminar del Campeonato Continental Femenil Sub 18 de la Confederación Norte, Centroamericana y del Caribe de Voleibol. El tricolor estuvo representado en este proceso por el entrenador argentino Estanislao Matías Vachino, el delegado César Osuna y el fisiatra Omar Hernández. “El equipo está bien, tuvimos que prepararnos con prontitud para esta competencia, ya que contemplábamos que se realizaría un poco después, pero hemos reunido a jugadoras con el objetivo de clasificar al mundial,” indicó el dirigente del seleccionado tricolor.

TIJUANA, México, agosto 5, 2012 — Los dirigentes de los equipos participantes del Campeonato

Continental Femenil Sub 18 de la Confederación Norceca se declararon listos para iniciar la

competencia que se pone en marcha este lunes.

Durante la entrevista preliminar que tuvo lugar este domingo por la mañana en el Centro de Alto

Rendimiento, varios entrenadores coincidieron la importancia de buscar el boleto al Campeonato

Mundial de la Categoría que se desarrollará el próximo año en Tailandia.

El torneo continental reparte tres plazas para dicha justa que tendrá verificativo el próximo año.

De los siete equipos participantes, seis se presentaron a la entrevista preliminar.

El vuelo de Trinidad y Tobago, estaba retrasado, para lo cual se esperaba su entrevista preliminar

al momento de su arribo. Los siguientes son los comentarios de los dirigentes:

Xavier Perales (Costa Rica): Venimos a sumar experiencia, nos reunimos los últimos diez días, todo

lo que hagamos en el torneo será importante para eso. Además de que buscamos que las chicas

tengan su primer contacto con lo que es una competencia de nivel de Norceca.

Ariel Sainz (Dominican Republic): Durante tres años hemos tenido una ardua preparación, con

jugadoras jóvenes y con una gran perspectiva a largo plazo. Nuestra primera meta es clasificar al

mundial y dar una buena competencia.

Julio Domínguez (Guatemala): Venimos con mucha voluntad y compromiso. Tenemos una

preparación buena desde el año pasado. Clasificamos en nuestra área como segundos y creemos

que esta es una experiencia importante para el desarrollo de nuestro país y una participación

importante en esta categoría.

Reed Sunahara (United States): Vamos mejorando, traemos un equipo que ya lleva tiempo

entrenando. Cada día vamos haciendo las cosas mejor y estamos listos para competir el día de

mañana.

Estanislao Vachino (Mexico): El equipo está bien. Esperábamos jugar un poco más adelante este

torneo para septiembre, pero las niñas pusieron todo de su parte y estamos preparados para

obtener un lugar en la clasificación al mundial.

Víctor Vázquez (Puerto Rico): La expectativa es calificar al Campeonato Mundial. Tenemos un

equipo joven que ha trabajado muy bien y la primera meta es estar entre los primeros tres sitios

para ir al mundial.

Coaches are ready for the U18 Women’s Continental Championship

TIJUANA, México, August 5, 2012 — The head coaches of the Norceca Women’s U18 Continental

Championship declared theirselves ready to start the competition that starts this monday.

During the Preliminary Inquiry that took place this sunday morning at the Baja California High

Performance Center, most of the coaches agreed in the goal of getting a ticket to the FIVB U18

World Championship that will be played in Thailand.

The continental championships gives three berths to that tournament for the next year. Six of the

seven competing delegations attended to the Preliminary Inquiry.

Trinidad and Tobago’s flight was delayed so their Inquiry has been scheduled at the time of their

arrival. The next ones are the coaches’ comments:

Xavier Perales (Costa Rica): We came here to gain experience. We have been joined for the last

ten days and expect that the girls can get in touch with their first Norceca level competition.

Julio Domínguez (Guatemala): We have arrived with great goodwill and commitment. We held a

one year preparation after qualifying in second place in our region and we think this will be a great

experience for our country.

Estanislao Vachino (México): The team is OK. We expected to play this tournament in the next

months, but the girls are ready as so we are to be qualified to the World Championship.

Víctor Vázquez (Puerto Rico): Our expectation is to qualify to the world championship. We have a

young team that has worked hard and our main goal is to be in the first three places .

Ariel Sainz (República Dominicana): We have prepared for the last three years. This is a team with

very young players but also with a great perspective in the long term. Our main goal is to get a

ticket for the World Championship and have a good competition.

Reed Sunahara (United States): We are getting better. We have a team, that has been training in

a while. Every day we are getting better and ready to compete for tomorrow.
