Jimmy Junior looks at Tina with awe, completely speechless. He has nothing to say without stuttering as Tina walks up tohim. His mouth is slightly agape, letting out a soft sigh.

    So?

The crowd applauses as the JUDGE speaksonto the microphone.

    JUDGEAlright, lets give them anotherhand!

The crowd applauses to the dancers who have completed theirdance routine. Tammy and Zeke are watching from the frontrow.

  • 37.

    TAMMYCrap, I just realized something!

    ZEKEWhat?

TAMMYI forgot that Tina always has herglasses on!

    ZEKEYou dont say.

TAMMYUgh, its just that I feel likeIve had something on my chest forthe past week.

    ZEKE(interested)

    Oh really?

Tammy notices his eyes not focusing on her, but rather onher chest. She turns away, folding her arms.

    TAMMYNot literally!

    ZEKE(embarrassed)

    Oh.

Meanwhile, the Belchers, except for Tina, make their way tothe crowd. They are somewhere in the middle.

LINDAThis is too kid-friendly! The dancefloor is reserved!

BOBWell, Linda, looks like you dressedout for nothing then.

    LINDAI need some fresh air.

Linda walks away from the family. Meanwhile, the judgeannounces the next contestants.

JUDGEIts our second to last dance ofthe competition, and we have Zekeand Tammy Larsen! Give em a hand!

  • 38.

As the crowd applauds, Tammy takes Zeke by his arm to thedance floor as she makes sure things are alright.

TAMMYOkay, were headed into the realdeal. You better not screw up oryoull run out the school crying onMonday. Hear me?

    ZEKEYes, maam!

TAMMYGood. Ill be giving you cues onthe way, so I expect you to catchthem!

    ZEKEAye aye, captain!

The music starts playing; it has a combination between"K-Jee" by MFSB and "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire:upbeat and soul. Tammy gives Zeke a look to start the danceand nods. He twirls her in a couple of circles as she holdsonto his hand for gripping. They place their hands in theappropriate areas of their bodies as they start dancingballroom style with the occasional lunging forward. Theywalk in circles along the dance floor.

TAMMYThis is where I twirl off! Shimmyyourself closer when I give you theokay to!

Zeke nodded as he let go of Tammy, who twirled backwards;she managed to keep her balance in tact, even with highheels. As she gave him the okay, the two shimmied towardeach other as the music continued to play. When Tammy wasback in Zekes arms, she leaned herself back as Zeke heldon. Tina walks over to the front of the crowd with JimmyJunior. She starts to feel uneasy. Jimmy Junior quicklynotices this from the corner of his eye.

JIMMY JUNIORAre you okay? You seem a bitdistracted.

Tina does not take her eyes off of the dance scene; shedoesnt even acknowledge Jimmy Junior.

    TINATheyre really good.

  • 39.

    JIMMY JUNIORYeah, but were unstoppable.

This caused Tina to glance over at Jimmy Junior, not feelingas confident as before.

    TINANo, Im not!

Tina covers her face with her hands, groaning.Oh God.

Tammy and Zeke separate from each other, stirring their hipsto the music, along with their arms. They shimmy their wayto each other before Tammy backs away to run closer to Zeke.As she ran toward him, his hands clutched onto hermid-section to carry her midair. Tammy "DirtyDancing"-style. The crowd roars as he successfully carriesher up. Tammy grins as Zeke walks in a few circles.

    JIMMY JUNIORWow.

JIMMY JUNIORWe werent going to do that anyway.

  • 40.

    TINAI know, its just...

    JIMMY JUNIORWe got this, Tina.

As the music continues to play, Linda approaches to aserver. She leans her arm against the "bar" area. It shows a9X6 BARTENDER serving non-alcoholic beverages.

    LINDAHi! Do you serve alcohol?

    LINDAAlriiight! Time to sizzle!

INT. STUDIO SIX TIMES NINE - EVENING

The interior of this dance club is very different fromStudio Nine Times Six. The guests are dancing awfully closeto one another, grinding and pelvic thrusting. The room hadan aroma of cigarette smoke and alcohol, as Linda respondsby coughing. Linda goes directly to the bar after seeing the6X9 BARTENDER. He is double the age as the first bartenderwith a thick New York accent.

  • 42.

    LINDAGive me your best Cosmopolitan!

6X9 BARTENDERYou got it! But Im going to needto see your ID.

Tammy and Zeke are toward the end of the dance number. Theytango across the dance floor before their big finale.

    TAMMY(to Zeke)

Now lift me onto your shoulder! Bigfinale!

Zeke nods before the end of the dance number, sweeping Tammyoff of her feet for a twirl in the air. He places her ontohis shoulder as he gets down on one knee for her to sit onhis lap. They stay in that pose as the crowd cheers them on.Tammy and Zeke catch their breaths as they remain inposition. The judge is clapping as well, pleased with theresult of their dancing.

JUDGEWow! That was phe-nom-en-al! Giveanother round of applause to Zekeand Tammy Larsen, ladies andgentlemen!

    JIMMY JUNIORWell do just fine.

Meanwhile, Bob looks around for Linda, who is nowhere to befound.

BOBWheres your mother? We haventseen her in a good while.

  • 44.

    LOUISEYouve lost her, dad.

BOBShes going to miss Tinas dance.

LOUISEEh, let her. Tina can gush about itto mom later tonight.

    LINDAWhew, I needed that!

Bob catches the scent, grunting in disgust.

BOBWhy do you smell like cigarettesmoke and alcohol? Wait, did you gonext door?

A song that sounds like Bee Gees "More Than A Woman" startsfilling up the dance studio. Tina and Jimmy Junior look intoeach others eyes before Jimmy Junior slowly dips her ontothe ground. A couple of seconds later, he slowly lifts herup before Tina starts twirling away from him. When shereturns, their arms wrap around each others waists as theywalk in a circle. The dance is basically a re-enactment ofTony and Stephanies from Saturday Night Fever, except witha few alterations.

  • 46.

TAMMYWe got this in the bag.

    ZEKEYou think so?

TAMMYI know so. Just look at her.

LINDAShe looks so graceful. Its soromantic. (She sheds a tear) Imgonna cry!

Linda wipes the tear from her eye as the dance numberbecomes much more interesting. Tina twirls herself around afew times before Jimmy Junior picks her up, stepping aroundin a circle whilst keeping her safe in his arms; this lastedseveral seconds. He placed her down onto the ground, gentlypushing her out, then pulling her back in before he twirledher around once before dipping her a second time. They stoodlike that for several seconds before slowly moving back up.To Tinas surprise, she saw his face leaning in closer tohers until she puckered up lightly. Eventually, the twokiss, which lasts for several seconds. When they pull away,Jimmy Junior cant help but to take it all in before smilingdown at her. Tina does the same thing as she looks up. Asthey end their dace number, they stroll away from the dancefloor, ending their performance. The crowd roars louder thanthe last time.
