Bump, set, spike it up to 18-5 By Brenna Wragge The Lady Cats have been on a winning streak lately. With a new record of 18-5, the ladies have been rolling over their competition. Unfortunately, one of those losses happened during the Lutheran High Northeast game. The Bobcats tried to rally back into the game but ended up losing in four sets. Picking themselves back up, the team traveled to Scribner-Snyder and dominated their opponents. With a bus full of happy campers, the ladies returned to Howells with the 1 st place plaque. Spirits high, they then took on Madison and David City slaughtering them in just three sets each. The ladies were on a roll and just kept going, putting down Scriber- Snyder, Osmond, and Dodge. Next came the always-dreaded Sutton Tournament, but no worries, the Lady Cats fought through it and came home with 3 rd place. Finally, the ladies took on some conference teams at the Humphrey High Tournament, beating Leigh and Fullerton but losing to Humphrey High, sending them home with 2 nd place medals. Bobcat Dazzlers show their spirit! By Brook Brester

On September 24th, the dance team held a Bobcat Dazzlers Camp. There were many

excited little girls that showed up! When the dazzlers first arrived they played duck-duck goose and enjoyed some cookies, bars, and juice for a snack. They then started to learn the dance that they would be performing that evening. Since there were so many girls, they were divided according to their grade. The K-2nd graders learned a dance to “Strawberry Shortcake” and 3rd-6th graders learned a dance to “Baby” by Justin Bieber. Games were played throughout the afternoon and of course the "Moose Song" was learned!! After much work, hot dogs and chips were served for the girls. They then each received a t-shirt to wear so they all matched, and paw print tattoos were put on their faces! After the Bobcat Dazzlers were ready, they headed down to the football field to cheer on the boys. On the way. they did the cheer “Everywhere We Go.” At half time they entertained by performing the dances they learned that afternoon. Excellent job, Bobcat Dazzlers!!!

NHS is climbing By Katee Rocheford

National Honor Society, as you may have previously read, is in a bit of a bind right now financially. They recently worked a concession stand for the Scribner-Snyder volleyball game; however, they are now brainstorming some more creative approaches to raising money. They also manned the Parent Teacher Conferences at midterm and with their fearless leader they will surely come up with some fundraising ideas to save them.

Like: You like a certain NFL team and they are having a pretty good year so far. Gripe: That team is the Green Bay Packers and they stink! Like: You are sitting at home relaxing, watching some TV. Gripe: Brock Lesner breaks your door down and ties you to a chair. He then takes the remote control and forces you to watch "Glee." You then cry uncontrollably until the show is over. Like: The Chiefs are off to a good start at 3-0. Gripe: They are still criticized and made fun of by almost everyone.
