The Latest teaching aid to enter EVERY SINGLE CLASSROOM in Boaz School is the Smart Class a digital teaching aid from Educomp for all students from Pre KG to STD X. The School has minimum of three types of extra Curricular Activities for each student every week from STD I to X. The School Conducts School day, Sports day and also Parents Week at school wherein the parents can ob-serve their wards in the class room on specified dates. Class photos are taken every year & made accessible to the parents and children. All major religious festivals are celebrated. On the lab front, the last two years have seen the successful running of the math cum computer lab with the com-plete tech support from NIIT. Parent teacher meeting are held every eve-ning. The school also communicates with parents through SMS, E-mail & regular circulars. All mobile numbers of the Correspondent, Principal, Teachers, office staff etc. are given to parents so that the communication channels are always open and there is an absence of red tapism. The school also conducts & sends children for various competitions throughout the year.

We wish to update you about the highlight of this academic year .

Our school day was conducted with much fanfare in June 2012 and our talented children took the parents on a cul-tural tour titled ‘ Around the world in 80 Minutes ’ .

The annual sports meet was conducted in the month August. The Pallava house won the overall champion-ship. The children were taken for class picnics to Vandalur Zoo, Dakshin chitra and Express Avenue Mall for a movie.

It Gives us great pride to inform you that our school was one of the 150 schools selected from lakhs of schools (across all boards) all over the country for the National School Sanitation Awards. The award ceremony was held at New Delhi and our correspondent Mrs. Aarthi Boaz collected from the honorable Minister for HRD, Mr.Pallam Raju. A sudden in-spection was done by Mr.Sudarshan Rao, Regional officer, CBSE south zone and we were selected for the award base on his inspection.

As usual, a number of competitions Drawing, Singing, and Public Speaking were held. A kolam and rangoli competition were held along with the pongal celebration on January 2013 .We also celebrated Eid, Christmas, communal har-mony. 2012 was a year of inspection we had our usual Men-toring Inspection. Inspection for Up gradation to the senior secondary level, all done by the CBSE. We also had our ve-hicle inspection conducted by RTO and our vehicles re-ceived an excellent report for Safety. The fire service depart-ment also conducted an inspections and we were found to have more than the required number of fire extinguisher and fire safety exists.

During the year, we also conducted our Sci-ence and Social studies Exhibition which featured many working models, charts made by the children themselves.

A new computer lab was inaugurated in the month of December 2012. Computer Science was re introduced for classes VI to X. We also hope to start XI and XII by 2014 - 2015 as our application for up gradation has been accepted ….
