My younger fellow students helped me get into the swing of things. And the instructor Jerome Canning, master boat builder, could not have given more of his skill, his traditional spirit and his keen eye than he did. “ ~Ross Chapelle, Washington, DC “Your instructor has impressed me to no end with his knowledge of boats and boat building and especially with his ability to weave a bit of Newfoundland and Maritime history in every piece we cut and shape so that the boat comes alive in your hands. He has the heart and eye of an artist and it come out in his work and his passion for this place and its’ people. I have a constant grin on my face and cannot believe how much I am learning at these workshops.” ~Robert Blake, St. John’s NL
