CHALLENGE DETAILS
The Johnson Scholarship Foundation has pledged over five years a $600,000
endowment gift to the UWF Foundation to challenge others to gift at least
$1 million in scholarship endowment at UWF for need based student scholarships.
THE UWF COMMITMENT
UWF must raise $1 million in need based scholarship endowments over the five
year period.

CHALLENGE DETAILSThe Johnson Scholarship Foundation has pledged over five years $100,000to challenge others to support First Generation Scholarships at UWF.
Gifts to the First Generation Scholarship are also currently matched 100% by the State of Florida First Generation Matching Grant Program.
FIRST GENERATION MATCH PROGRAM 2008-2009 & 2009-2010
• Over the last two years UWF submitted and received maximum match. Third year
match of $205,000 has been submitted, waiting state
match approval.

Maritime Museum UpdateMaritime Museum Update

• Case statement and supporting documents are complete – were presented to committee.
• Research and prospect screening completed by Blackbaud Analytics.
• Interviews to assess interest and
support have begun with university
and community leaders.
