COMMODORE – May 2012 Spring has sprung! The docks are buzzing with boats & people, just the way it

should be! Work on A dock is coming along, but we need help from more of our members to get it completed and all our boating members can enjoy the season. It's a good way to get your work hours in for the year. You don't have to be a licensed electrician to help, we had one of our woman members carrying wood down to the dock, so there is no excuse not to help. At the April Board of Governors meeting a motion was made to stop smoking in the

clubhouse as of June 1, 2012. The Board voted 11 - 1 in favor, and the motion was passed. The Board felt this was a good time of year to make this change because the weather will be favorable. This will also give us time to make accommodations for our smokers. At the April General Body meeting this information was shared with the members who attended. A petition has sinc e been received by the Recording Secretary to overturn the Board's decision on no smoking. There will be a special meeting for the general body to vote on this issue. The meeting will be held May 22, 2012 at 19:00 (7:00pm), before the regular meeting. All who can, should attend this meeting to vote on this VERY important issue. If you don't come & vote don't complain about the outcome!I would like to thank everyone who came & helped celebrate the new officers &

Kids had a blast.Our Winner of the Rod and Reel donated by Jimmy O's Bait and Tackle for the Tag Sale was John Oakey. We did great for our kids that day.
